My favorite animes? Hmm..There's quite a few that i love i guess, difficult to put which ones are my favorites, but here's a general idea(in no particular order);

Azumanga
Puni puni poemy
Rune solidier
Fruits basket
Full metal alchemist
Samurai Champloo
Dragon Half
Chobits
Angelic layer(its for kids but its too cool!)

I have some Last Exile lying around, but i havn't really got into it very much yet, but its still good- one of my other favorites is Excel Saga, although i only prefer the first couple of volumes.
Theres too many anime movies to list though- anything by miyazaki basically, plus loads of other movies like Akira, AppleSeed, barefoot gen, Memories, Millienium actress, kai doh maru etc etc...Im sure as time goes by i'll be able to add plenty more series and movies to the list too .

Angelic layer(its for kids but its too cool!)

Maybe I'm just a big kid at heart, but I enjoyed Angelic Layer as I found it fascinating! And who's to say the technology in that show isn't just around the corner?

I agree, it would be awesome to really have angelic layer, already people are coming along in leaps and bounds in hologram technology;

Even though angelic layer was directed towards kids, the quality of the drawing/anime is very good and it has alot of mature concepts/storys in it despite being a kids series, even though im 20yrs old i found it a very enjoyable and stunning anime to watch and i now have the whole series on DVD .

I want an Angel so bad so i can kick *** and dress it up in super cool costumes !

well there are many great animes that I adore but I've recently watched The Scrapped Princess, I was really moved by the story. It has humor, magic, braveness, and most of all, LOVE . It only has 25 episodes so this anime comes with a package .

I saw inuyasha...some series and a movie...but... it bored me...
I know many manga series from Newgrounds...there are a lot of parodies!

It's the best effort from the best studio.
I've even got "the complete box", with everything from script to a version made from the analog master and a version made from the digital master.

My favourite anime is Hajime no ippo

I am a big fan of Hajime no ippo manga.....very realistic and provides tremendous insight into boxing.....currently waiting for the scanalated version of ippo versus taeki sakuma fight.

at the moment, i'm totally into ghost in the shell - stand alone complex
both plot and animation are really impressive!

but i really wonder: why are there some episodes called "a stand alone episode" (the sequence where the ep's title is displayed is green) and some "complex episodes"? (title squence: blue)

first i thought, somehow there's a 'complex' in the 'stand alone complex' but these complex episodens doesn't seem to fit together ☝
(i think in the first complex ep, togusa gets knocked down by a strange old lady after fighting a cyborg in that weird isolation camp for kids with the closed shell syndrome (was it called like that?), hacking and creating spy programs all day long. that episode just didn't feel like 'stand alone', but the next one was a whole different thing again)

also love the classical dragonball series (not z, gt etc.).
