all art is good art:) just keep working working working at it:) find something that inspires you and let your mind go carzy! the long hours will pay off, trust me:)

Great pictures Babar-san!
I especially liked the last two you had linked up, but they're all really good. 👍
Keep up the good work!

You seem very sure that you're much better than the rest of us.
I wouldn't mind you saying things like that so much if you'd just post some pictures 😌
Perhaps you should resize the files? If you have photoshop, then it's no problem to resize your images so that you can post them up.
I hope we'll be able to see them soon!
Good luck on your manga btw! I'd love to read some of it if you've already gotten started. I've always wanted to create a manga, but never really had the patience - and i'm not much of an artist either.

Eve your pictures are great! ^^
Like Bounty said, they're messy - but that's okay. It's great that so many people are able to draw well. I wish I knew more artists in RL.
Keep up the good work! And if you draw any more, please show us! 🙂

I've drawn a few more pictures, and as soon as I get them scanned in, i'll post 'em.

You see, i dont have any pencils in my house. Dont knwo where they all go. I finally found a crappy pencil with messed up lead and decided to draw. I'll prolly will draw better though if i could find a better pencil.

Hi am the leader of a manga group and we are working on a project at the moment called COLLISION.

here is some of my artists work.

As an ordinary fan and a noob wanabee-artist I'd say these look really good and that you sure got some style, as well as much more practice than most of us.
As a manga-contest judge for I must say that I've seen far better works :D
I guess it's just a matter of point of view though...
Hope I didn't offended you

Wow... I feel very intimidated by the art work v.v;; I'm still trying to get my head body proportioning right on close ups and sometimes even on full view .. but not so much thankfully.. right now i only have 3 drawings up, but I have a few more on my digital camera waiting to be uploaded.. i'd probally do it more often if I had a scanner.. digital cameras are a pain... here's the link if anyone wants to check it out.. but a forewarning that 2 have blood in them... Shadowed Crossings 🕺

am not offended in anyway dreamer.

By the way the pictures you have seen are not the complete version only a sample.

But...I thought your whole manga group worked on those together?
I guess maybe I misunderstood you, Bounty?
Great pictures Kogatana ^^
Keep working on those proportions! I'm stuck on the same thing...

welp, im halfway there....

here is the colored sylph in my thread, not done, but getting close, hope you like:>

hhmmm....

yea, that piece was supposed to be kiddie. no offense man, but you want me to draw you some porn and gore? your groups work is crude and generic at best, and VERY kiddie. i might add that your character names are pretty silly as well. i think i actually saw a character named vegolas?...hmmm, rhymes with legolas? i respect your opinion, but you obviously have not seen my thread, it has a wide range of styles in it. i did not see anything "adult" in your links. next time i'll put some fangs on her and give her a gun :D heres some "adult" art for you :)

I didn't mean adult in that way you idiot.
I will leave you to drawing cartoon boobs while i get with the real deal.

I meant adult as in a look more human type like my groups cyborg picture.

and to correct your wannabe smartass comments i didn't draw any of those nor did i name them. If you want beef (and don't even think of any crappy comments about "beef" its not the meat) with my group members just say the word and i will get them its as simple as that.

no problem f**khead:) your groups "adult look" is as about adult as disney, and as far as "comments" i'll make any that i feel.:) second, the "cyborg" they drew looks more like an elaborate garbage can. i could care less who drew them, you are representing them, very poorly i might add. and third, "wannabe"? i guess thats how dark horse comics and glen danzig felt when they offered me jobs:) im a professional with 15yrs of manga illustration, an mfa in graphic design, and 6 yrs professional design experience under my belt. can you say the same for your "group"? thought not.
its not my fault you suck, i mean hell, everyone has to start somewhere. :D
as far as "beef", i find it immature of you to make this statement:) the real deal? that for you is a magazine under your bed:) im a professional dj, and as everyone knows, we get all the girlies. oh wait, yer prolly not old enough to get into a club, my bad:) :p

I really LOVE the other artwork you posted Babar-san :p I've always had a thing for darker art, I only wish I could draw like that.

I respect your talent as an artist, however; at your age don't you think participating in a fight against someone you deem to be 15 in an art thread is a little bit beneath you?
This thread hasn't had any problems yet, the comments have been good-natured and helpful so far...so if we could keep the useless arguements down to a minimum that'd be wonderful!
Also, everyone's outlook on artwork is a matter of preference - both Bounty Hunter and Babar-san should remember that...

Now I'm going to scan some of my nasty artwork in and post it up so you guys can make some belittling comments about it. 👍

Good luck everyone!

definatley BENEATH me. its was just funny thats all, ive read several of his posts, and he comes off as being arrogant about his "groups" work. he claimed that the work was "adult" style. maybe in his mind, but i didnt see it. if he had bothered to look at my thread, he would of seen that i do many varied things with manga styles.

normaly i would not engage in this demeanor, but i thought it was funny, no offense 🙂

I guess your sense of humour is a bit different than mine 😊
Not a bit of offense taken though =p

I liked what both of you showed us, to be honest.
Babar-san if you have any more nifty demon pictures, i'd love to see 'em. I haven't seen artwork like that on this thread yet, with the exception of what you've posted up so far.

Scanner's broken apparently, i'll have to use someone else's.

yea i got plenty:) im glad someone else likes the dark stuff, actually most of my stuff is dark,in a manga fashion, but its sort of a blend, but i'll keep um comin, glad you like! i like to break and draw cute stuff every now and then, as was the case with the elf, but that was to show everyone how i approuch a colored piece, from begging to end, so i will end it when ive completed the background, but yea, most of my stuff is dark indeed:)

Excellence.
I'd love to see more, if you ever want to post them up!
I think I might try my hand at drawing in a more dark style as well...

Here're my craptacular pictures 👍
None of them are completed yet, and I'll probably never get around to finishing 'em...but here's what i've got so far.
I need to sit down and seriously draw something, sometime soon. 😌

actually, they are very good. you have a good sense of proportion and "feel" to your work. you should definatley persue this, as you obviously have a natural talent for it. and your style is great, a darker more "somber" feel about it. i would suggest some "how to" books, i know it sounds corny, but one of the things that helped me the most were studying masamune shirows (appleseed) manga, and things like "how to draw comics the marvel way". if you just forget about the american comic aspect of it, and just concentrate on the "proportion, depth, and perspective" tutorials, and apply them to your manga art, you will be amazed at how much it helps. it explains and "shows" you how to break down complex ideas very quikly with simple shapes, establishing the proportions first. this allows you to go crazy with detail, because you already know where everthing is. it also creates a dynamic. masmune shirow's art showed me this because he is a master of proportion and weird perspectives. one panel he ie drawing a character from a 3rd person "above" perspecvtive, to a 2nd person perspective panel with the camera angle coming from the ground. this HUGE difference in perspective allowed me to do things with my work i never thought possible. like a character "pointing" at the camera. these tricky shots are easily accomplished when "proportion" is controlled 👍

i will scan some examples of what i mean and post them, it takes a long time and a lot of drawing, but you already have a gift for it, so do it yeah?

seems to be a demand for cyborgs, so here is a "borg", 👍
sorta storm trooper like...i dunno, i think it the german helmet thing he's got goin on....maybe i'll paint it or something....hhmmmmm.....

Hum...guys please stop fighting like that...each one has his style, but as long as each one's enjoying what one's doing it's ok.
Just like some people like comics, some other prefer mangas. The only judge is the public, and although contest judges exist, the childish/mature side of each contestant's arts doesn't count in the final decision...
anyway you both have some talent and it'd be sad to see 2 persons fighting over some arts...

Aha! Art tips from a true manga-ka!
I'll take your suggestions to heart; i'd already been hoping to pick up a few "how to" books, but i'd been shying away from books reguarding anything but the anime style. I suppose that just wont do.
As soon as I can afford to get some good books on perspective and proportion i'll set out to buy them.
Art books are so expensive...at least for a highschool student.
I'd love to really get serious about my artwork; i'll be trying my best to improve and learn, so wish me luck 👍

Thanks so much for your comments Babar-san! I find them to be very helpful.
Excellent picture by the way! As usual it's outstanding! Be sure to post more, k? =D
