Your First Anime

My first were, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Tenchi Muyo!, and Ronin Warriors.
 
Mine was the Cantonese version of Dr Slump, which was called IQ professor in chinese. Someone recorded it while they were over in Hong Kong and brought it over, I just watched the tape over and over again when I was about 4 yrs old. The dodgy Superman and the talking poo always cracked me up!
 
Wow, i think my first was Vampire Hunter D but the first series which made me think 'wow' was Neon Genesis Evangelion. What a superb series.

My 1st one was doraemon when i was 6Yo =)
 
Mine was either patlabor or robotech or sometime like robotech i forget
it was cool though
one of the many reason why i am more into the mech stuff
 
it was dragonball here.....*shrugs* shrugs what can i say i still watch what ever i can see. Still love seeing things like anime.
 
Mine was Sailor Moon. I was only a little eleven year old, I didn't know any better!

I'm 45, and I'm NOT at all ashamed to say that Sailor Moon began my love for anime. Depending on who you talk to (and this is debatable), it was Usagi/Serena and her crew who really kickstarted the anime craze here in the U.S.!
 
I hate to admit this but I think the first anime i ever saw was Sailormoon... but I have since went to therapy and I watched others.
 
wow, I can't believe someone mentioned Mazinger Z?

I used to watch that and "Voltes V(five)" when I was 6 in the Philippines. They were popular. I was really into the "Star Rangers" which was called "Go Ranger" in Japan, but that's not Anime(does it count?).
 
Samurai Pizza Cats? Was that anime? I thought it was a U.S. show. Admittedly, I'm not sure.

Other than the pizza cats there was SailorMoon and Card Captor Sakura...only watched a few episodes of each of thoughs two when I was young though.

Hey just wondering also 😄 ....does anyone remember watching an anime (movie lenght) called Gigi?
 
Well, like I said, I'm not sure SPC was anime. I had only seen a scant few episodes and it didn't seem like the medium we all know and love. :-)

I'm also a fan of Cardcaptor Sakura, having discovered the show at the tender age of 44, and I liked the show almost immediately, but then, how can you not like anything that comes from the minds of CLAMP? 😍

Gigi? Oh! I thought you meant "Gigli", that waste of celluloid with Ben Affleck and J.Lo! 😲
 
My first anime was Pokemon, I automaticly knew that I loved the way there eyes were drawlin (I didn't know it was anime) then I started to watch Dragonball Z. Then one day my friend introduced me to other animes and I was hooked.
 
princess mononoke... (mononoke hime)

and that sort of made me intrigued...

it was however azumanga daioh that made me an animefreak overnight..
