Favorite Azumanga Character

I just started reading the Azumanga Daioh manga and watched the anime and it's a hoot and a half, fully satisfying my need for wackiness. But that got me to thinking about my favorite AD character, and, after some not-so serious thought, I've decided on Osaka! Can't go wrong with an airhead when it comes to providing chuckles! So, who's your favorite? And don't be shy, I'm sure you have a fave from Miss Yukari's class of kooks!

Osaka and Chiyo are cool in their own right (actually every gal in the series ius commendable), but I prefer Yomi. At least she has a sense of sanity...her confidence in appearance is her only low point. Typical.

There are a lot of nuts in that show, but I think the two that are tops are Osaka and Tomo.

Osaka ... one blank stare from Kasuga is all you need to cap your day.

Coming a very close second is Yukari-sensei - I just love her mean-spirited, cynical and wicked disposition, ability to turn Chiyo-chan (and any other unfortunate passengers) into a gibbering mess ... oh, and did I mention being a VERY sore loser? Nyamo might be more popular with the students, but Yukari shows what being competitive AND malicious could turn you into...

Honourable mention goes to Tomo "Wouldn't it be really neat if I found the key and threw it again?" Takino, whose noisy antics provided much amusement.

I only bought this to see what is was like and I must say it is one of the funniest manga/anime series I have read. I bought the one book and two days later I had ordered the rest. After that I started on the anime, which retains the same humour of the manga and the short story form.
I love the characters, but my favourite is Sakaki-san. I think it is just her bad luck with cats. A bit like Charlie Brown and the Football with Lucy. Everytime she approaches a cat you know what is going to happen, but she is an eternal optimist and still gets bitten (apart from Mayaa, that is).
A close second has to be Osaka though.
