Why do some Japanese anime characters look caucasian?

I call Anime characters half & half, not in a racial or disrespectful way. Anime hair and facial the left and the right side of face is Asian but their eyes and chin is western. have you ever watch Anime Live, the people they have playing the character hardly looks like the character, example Death Note Live. Light character do not look no where like him, but "L" character looks like him characters. But not all anime characters are half & half, they are a lot anime character that look western. depending on the show and where it is taken place.

I know Japanese anime creators have a hard time making black male characters look anime. so they go with a more life like look that stand out, depending on the show. Black female characters can turn into anime characters. but this is my own opinion.
