What does your user name mean?

if mine are all put together it basicly means im a "precious healer who lives in an alley"

my real name?.. Daniel Martinsson... God is my judge and martin is my father...

although none of those statements are true.. :?

My online name I made up in grade 6. Don't like it much anymore, but it's a force of habit to use it.

My real name, Morgan, is (welsh I think) for 'by the sea'. But I have a Japanese name, not because I wanted one, but because my Japanese friend cannot pronouce my name at ALL so he translated it into Japanese and calls me 'Nagisa'.

My real name is Sara which means "smooth as silk" - at least that's what my mom told me or "dish" LOL

My forum account name is well the thunder god of norse mythology. Heil the fourth reich!

My name means, I am the King of Tokyo, although if you couldn't figure it out I think you should go get educated. :)

is it you in the picture ??
mean... really...

your jref name?

Alright everyone what is the reason your jref name is what it is?
i mean what is behind your name?

me for one,

mine is geno,
I play a lot of online games and was called genocide all the time, and after a while i ended on a server that could only fit 4 letters so i begun to use the word geno, and so it stuck.

so then all you j-reffers whats the deal with your name?

Geno, it is soooooo weird that you started that thread just now. Because when I was at home this morning, I had the thought: I will start a thread on how people got their jref name. And I was just going to...

Well, maybe not that weird, lol. Probably lots of people had the same thought! :p

I am gonna answer your question but not yet because I talk too much and annoy everyone 😌

We already had this thread not too long ago. But since you asked, it's my real name. I've never understood people not wanting to put their names to their statements.

I Guess........

the Forum is a little like TV, we get re-runs. I used my real name since this Forum was my first venture onto the internet. So far nothing bad has befallen me.

Frank

😊

I'm just naturally... not suspicious, exactly... neither am I paranoid... just... a natural hider-of-my-real-identity... 😌

I used a (pidgin) Japanese equivalent of my real name - my name is Caroline, which means 'strong', so I translated it to 'tsuyoi' then added 'ko' to make it sound like a girls' name. :-)

Hooray, Kinsao, we are natural identity-hiders!! :D Go us!!

My user name is the title of only the BEST DIR EN GREY SONG EVER!! (EVER!!) :D My, how wonderful Daisuke-sama looks in that PV...😍

...and that's all there is to it. Pretty simple, I guess...☝

lol

How I got the name Kinsao... well (are you sitting comfortably? 😊 ) when I was a kid aged around 9 or 10 years old, me and friends used to make up codes - I think it's a thing that lots of kids do, yes? Well, somehow, with one of these codes, my name emerged as 'Kinsao Ikioa'. I have no idea how. It must have been a damn good code, because I still haven't been able to work it out. It doesn't have the same number of letters as my real name, and any repeated letters don't tally at all (either way). The government should employ me! :D

For some reason this name lodged somewhere in my subconscious (possibly because, unlike other names that derived from childhood codes, it's actually pronouncable...) even though it's neither a word nor a name. And I've always used it. My other msn name is Francine Collins, and that's nothing like my real name and is totally random - no sensible reason for choosing that one  I'm Kinsao and always will be... 😌

Phew - I hope I haven't bored you too much with my odd story! :sorry:

:D Man I wish I had a secret code like that!! All my childhood codes were...rediculous and not worth remembering...:D

This is a great idea; modern etymology explained by the coiners themsleves, hahahaha.... :D
I didn't know there was one like this.
I used be against making id's because it sounded so..er, im-mature ?
But one place I visited, no one had their real names, and I didn't want to create a commotion.

I love words; and some people who make a living out of words are dictionary makers, also called a lexicographer. I took lexico from that word; I think it also means 'of words.' So the shorter form Lex could not be an abbreviation for Alexander, meaning 'palace guard.'

I like your username, Lex. I love the letter X! 😍 I like X because it means many things...

Thx, Kinsao, you are so kind.
And may I continue on letters now ?
I used to love the letter O, because it's the picture of the mouth making the sound ! As I gazed into the letter O, it sent me a visualisation of how it should sound. I was amazed at how a letter could send a vibrating message telling me how to read it.

My other favoured letter used to be K; can't explain too well, but it looked so elegant and balanced with its two limbs branching out of the stem. Kelogg's seemed to have gotten the same telepathic message from the letter.

As for the letter X; it indeed well represents your username. The greek letter sounded like K but often transliterated CH; I don't mind. I was amused to learn my amigo pronounced it like a J, then here I also learned it could be read like an H. What a many-talented letter !

My name is Kara, and my first Korean name given to me was Nari.... so often my Korean friends would just call me Kara-Nari, and it kind of stuck. Nothing fascinating or special about it.
I was about to go into great detail about other names given to me, but realised I cant be bothered. Have a good night.
