Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

i'm sure there's a ripped off copy somewhere online that a disgruntled squaresoft employee sold... :D :D

nut that's only if the movie is finnished though, that you can find stuff online before it actually comes out so i dunno...
 
I beat FF7 over 4 times, and funny thing is i've started over yet again.*lol*
I must say FF7 is a game I enjoy even after beating it many times.
Now the new DVD coming out I also wanna check out.
I wanted to see it big time when I first saw the preview, and then I saw Tifa in there punching someone? mm Tifa.:D
Eaither way, I can't wait.
 
there are various p2ps out there with avi files claiming to be copies Advent children. is it some unfinished version floating about or is it just another hoax? i seriously doubt it is the film but then again, seems everything is floating out there online, these days :D
 
I got the DVD trailer encoded and fansubbed by Ani-Kraze. Really nice. They're probably gonna sub the movie once it comes out.
 
maybe there will be a Final Fantasy VIII movie...I want to see Squall. :-P

I guess it will depend on the fore-fathers...anything is better than nothing I guess but then again..
 
I'm just relieved they're not going to attempt something like The Spirits Within again...

You really shouldn't down that film to be quite honest. If it had not been for Final Fantasy fanatics that coldn't bear to have FFVII turned into a movie at the time, it would have been looked at as the first steps to having perfectly rendered CGI characters in a movie that are indistinguishable from the real thing.

The plot leaves a lot to be desired for some, and in some ways, I wish they had done the plot a little differently. But overall, I am still impressed, and still enjoy the film everytime I see it. It even still saddens me to this day to see The Final Flight of the Osiris on the Animatrix because it shows what Square Pictures were capable of.

I realise that Advent is being made by many of the SP team, but to me, it still isn't the same. It seems to me that they are trying to show the world they can do great things while limiting themselves to catering to the fanboys.

It looks nice, but it would have been nicer to see those talents work in another feature film.

My opinion, that's all.

But honestly I think it left much to be desired. Certainly I was very impressed by the amazing CGI - but the movie wasn't anything special in my opinion.
I don't know that there's really much of a point to making CGI movies if you're not "catering to fanboys". There's anime, video games, live action movies. I'd personally rather see real people do some of the things they use CGI for. I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't push everything else aside. People can get so lazy =.=
Did that make sense? I guess not...

But I do own the movie ^^

Well, I think that it can be done and not even for fanboys, if done right. I think that SQUARE Pictures had the right idea and never got to implement it any further. Who knows, maybe Advent will allow them to gain some ground back with the public, I just don't want it to end up being rehash after rehash.

Ah well, off to fix my PS2.

Thanks Tim, my respect for the project goes up a notch after seeing the second trailer. Now I want to see it, but still long for an actual movie by the guys from FF: Spirits Within.

That second trailer was nice. Although I already support the project, i'm even more excited than I was in the beginning.
I hope it comes out soon!
