I've been collecting for around 4 months now so it's not a grand selection.

Did some crude math on how much I've spent on my anime DVD collection. I've got somewhere in the vincinity of 175 discs, not counting box sets. The single discs run in price from $19.99 to $29.99 from several different places like Best Buy, Suncoast, FYE, Sam Goody, online resources like Right Stuf and a couple of comic book shops I frequent. After crunching the numbers, I came up with a rough estimate of around $6,500.00! And that might well be a LOW estimate! In a word----OUCH!!!! And my collection is STILL growing!

I'm in an absolute anime craze! Me and my friend spent friday nights last year in a bookstore where we worked, reading manga. I went to America to buy CardCaptor Sakura the movie (they didn't have it in my country >_< *sob*) and I have Last Exile, Rahxephon, Blood the Last Vampire, Lain, Animatrix, all Pokemon movies, Dragonball Z Movie Super Android 13, Saikano - all on dvds, then I also have all of Card Captor Sakura manga, and Love Hina manga, and also (and these are all full series): Ishigo Mashimaro, Ah! My Goddess, Love Hina, Kanon, Fruits Basket (manga too), Azumanga Daioh, Gundam Wing, Excel Saga, Chobits, Evangelion, Vandread, Love Hina, Ninja Scroll, Hack Sign, Angelic Layer, Angels Sanctuary, Hellsing, Maihem, Chrno Crusade, Air (one of the best), Kenshin, and of course Sailor Moon (which made me love anime)...and then there are heaps more, but I don't remember them all, these are the ones I enjoyed most though. Anime is just amazing, I draw it too! And my brother draws it too.

I'm mainly a Book/Manga collector myself, seeing as how I don't have easy access to any anime providers. So, if I had my way, I'd live in Barnes and Nobles, but, seeing as that can't be(yet), I've amassed a small collection of manga and one DVD.
