Tactics- anyone else into this anime at the mo :) ?

A little while back in november i bought this anime on DVD out of curiosity, and i have to say that it is actually really good! Tactics is basically a demon-hunting anime, beautifully drawn and full of interesting and often very unique stories in every episode, many of which are very thought-provoking.
Long story short, it basically follows the story of a young guy called Kantarou Ichinomiya who has the ability to see youkai/demons/goblins, and he searches them out to make peace with them them and also write up stories about them in his book series. He has a pretty teenage fox spirit girl and dark tall handsome demon spirit guy as friends who help him out on his travels as he journies to find out more about the youkai/supernatural beings etc who inhabit japan. Anyone else into this anime at the moment ?

Yeah, its quite awesome, watched it a while ago, I think, for someone who didn't see it yet, It could be compared to Shounen Onmyouji, although, unlike SO, Tactics has depth as well.
While this is true, I think the only one to read this will be Tokis-Phoenix... who already seen it lol.
If it wasn't for the "Harukaaaa!" "Oohh Haruka!" "Haruka this...Haruka that." part, I would watch it again.
Kantarou ain't a bad character, but the Haruka part gets annoying after a while.
On the other hand, I think Haruka isn't as annoying as SO's Guren, not that Guren would be annoying all the time, but sometimes his reactions are kind of like what you'd expect from a protagonist of a hardcore shounen anime (Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Dragonball).
Other than that, if you liked Shounen Onmyouji or Tactics, you'll like the other.

Oh, I certainly am into this anime, but I have yet to see the manga version. I do very much like Kantarou and Haruka as they seem like a couple in this series and I do wish it could have gone on longer with them in it as a proper couple as their relationship is only hinted at briefly to be honest and I found it a shame.
I thought the ending was quite sad, but not as bad as I thought it would be -- still had tears in my eyes though. Poor Haruka.

yep! ^_^ I like the drawing but I felt it was lacking 'something' yet I'm not sure what! (but then again I probably just wanted 'more' of it). I was 'very sad' about the ending tho' (which I will not reveal to avoid spoils).

Argh its taking ages for series 3 to come out over here, i really wanna see more Tactics! Why does it always take so long for anime's to get released over here meh??

Ah Pirate copies are always of an inferior visual quality and they tend not to have all the features that official dvd's have, like trailers and artwork and stuff etc. I think i will wait for the real deal it just sucks that it has to take so long to come out over here.

Nah, I mean fansubs. They don't have artwork yeah, they don't have extras, but on the other hand, their subtitles are usually FAAAAR superior.

I thought that too - the story was amazing, and the characters were really good to watch. I was surprised it ended so early too - I was expecting it being a lot longer anime than it was. I am sure the manga went on for much longer than the anime, but I am not sure.
