anyone here who loves Godzilla too?

I would like to know whether I am the only Godzilla fan here, which I hope not since this is a Japanese Forum and the most famous Kaiju should be a worth a topic here

I watched Godzilla movies since I was a kid (usually the old movies from the 1960's and 1970's). Most of them were very trashy but somehow also very cool. I like a lot the movies from the 1990's and my favorite G-movie is
Godzilla,Mothra,King Gidora: giant monsters all out attack from 2001.
The last movie Godzilla:Final wars was in my opinion too speedy and too much sci-fi. The effects strangely were also less good compared to Godzilla,Mothra,Mechagodzilla:Tokyo SOS and GMK.
And the US Godzilla movie by Roland Emmerich was totally a mess (not worth to call it a Godzilla movie).
And it must be said that the newer Godzilla movies lacks in the music and main theme by Akira Ifukube.
But if Toho Studios decides to revive Godzilla in 5 or 10 years, I will watch it

My son got right into Godzilla for a while. Of all the few I've seen, Destroyer, the evil plant monster, the space alien in a dome ship, and the three headed monster, I ould have to say I enjoyed the space alien monster movie best. Godzilla's good stuff to watch. Perhaps I can find pics of 'Godzilla' and my son that I had posted on another forum.

Well, I also like Godzilla 2000 (where the UFO becomes the monster Orga after it took the G-cells). I have both US-DVD with partly new BGMs and sound effects (but dull dubbings), and the original version which is slightly longer and sometimes boring BGM or even none.

I also would like to press fastforward in most Godzilla movies because Godzilla is the superstar and not those humans =)
The most heartbreaking G-movie was Godzilla vs Destroyah when Godzilla dies because of his meltdown
But at least his son absorbed his lifeforce and radioactivity and grows up at the end of the scene where it was revived by that.

I love watching the old Godizilla movies. When I was a kid I had a plastic toy Godzilla that you could press a lever in the back of it's head and fake flames came out of it's mouth and also the hands could be projected from the arms kind of like torpedos.

I never had a real godzilla toy figure (only fakes with re-designed fins) made of cheap plastic and ugly paintjob.

4 years ago I bought my first real Godzilla (GMK-Godzilla)figure from Bandai at ebay which is around 21cm high and made of vinyl. Since then I also have a 15cm Godzilla (from the original movie), 22cm Godzilla (Tokyo SOS) and a 25cm Godzilla 2000. They are all standing at my TV adding 5 little Bighead Godzillas =)
