Who likes Evanescence??

I'm not usually into that kind of music. I like stuff that's much heavier and not at all poppy. But that woman's voice just speaks to me. She just sounds so tortured and beautiful. And the crunchy guitar backdrop helps for me since I like heavier music. I like it.

I like them. I've got their album and its pretty decent.

I found the band that the guy who sings 'bring me to life' is in.
They are called 12 stones and they are pretty good

Not the best, not the worst.
I would say they are 'played Out" here in the States.

Want a better band, check out Lacuna Coil, much better, and def more talent going on.

I concur on Amy Lee sounding like crap live.

If ya cant pull it off live, you aint the real deal ...period!

Nightwish is cool.
If you want watered down pop stuff stick with Evenescence.
if you want the more eclectic talent stuff with more of an edge, check out some of the bands I have suggested.
You wont be disappointed.

I'm still an Evanescence fan, and will probably remain one. Of course, they can't hold a candle to lots of bands out there, but I still like them.

I don't usually get my CDs from Wal-Mart, unless I happen to be there, and there's a CD I want that I know isn't edited.

But yeah, hehe. It was just sitting there, not even in the right place. The only copy. Pretty much the same way I found the first Avenged Sevenfold CD I bought. I was meant to find it!

Hey, it could happen! I was meant to find Final Fantasy VIII back in '98 sitting at the bottom of the used shelf at Babbages. Marked half off because I kid brought it back the next day, opened, saying he didn't like it. Ended up being my favorite game and helped me meet the girl of my dreams. Then again, we aren't together now...so maybe that's a sign, too... ::sighs::

EVANESCENCE FANATIC RIGHT HERE!!! Yeah, I loooooooooooove them! And I am in love with Amy Lee. She's so beautiful and her voice floors me every time. I wish Ben hadn't left that band though but they seem to be doing fine without him so...yeah. But still I love Evanescence and I LOVE Amy Lee!



My fav Evanescence songs would have to be: "I Must be Dreaming", "Breathe No More", "Going Under", "Hello" and "Haunted." OH! And their cover of Korn's "Thoughtless" I want to YELL the chorus of that to my oldest brother. "Why are you trying to make fun of me? You think it's funny what the f**k do you think it's doing to me?! ... All my hate cannot be found. I will not be burned by your thoughtless screaming. You can try to pull me down, beat me to ground, I will see you screaming!"

Amy Lee's voice is awesome. The problem with lots of rock bands that have female singers is that their voice just doesn't match the music, even if the music is plain awesome (Nightwish is a prime example). Evanescence and The Donnas are the only modern bands that have pulled it off. Unless you count Kittie...but I mean...I didn't even know the singer was female the first time I heard them...

Exactly! I agree. I must admit that I was a fan of Evanescence, but they're one of those bands that just get on my nerves after the tenth time in replaying the same ol' crap.
