What was the first anime you ever watched?

around 11-12yrs ago my brother and i went searching for my dad's playboy videos that he told my older brother he'd never find. we found some tapes and one had Vampire Hunter D written on the side. pops taped it off of USA network in the mid eighties from some show called Nightflight? i still have the tape. the commercials are funny!! ...........never found those playboy tapes.

I've probably already mentioned this, but I go back to the days of Astro Boy, Marine Boy, Prince Planet and, of course, Speed Racer. But back then, I had no idea it was anime, they were just cartoons to me when I was an ignorant kid.

The first anime I ever watched had to be either hello kitty or sailor moon. I was young and stupid(Not like that has changed much) but I loved it, then....I got into some Dragonball Z and was looking for more, found Inuyasha and...yeah..thusly started my ANIME EMPIRE!

Yeah, I only started to watch anime last year(2004) because in South Africa anime is extremely scarce so you can't just walk into a shop and buy a dvd!!
Yeah, So my first anime was Chobits!! But now my problem is I can't get much more anime even from the net because internet connections are way too expensive!!!

I must say the first anime that I ever watched is Dragonball Z and it got me hooked
Ive watched loads of anime since then and I cant get enough of them.
The latest one I watched was Fruits Basket and it was awsome

Now I m aged 26 and still love manga and anime

The very first anime I remember watching was Gatchaman, aka Battle of the Planets or G-Force when I was very, very young. After that it was Samurai Pizza Cats, and then your usual DBZ, Sailor Moon, etc. I've loved animation in general since, whether or not it's Japanese :3

I saw Akira about 12 years ago, and a few more films that I can't remember the titles of. Then I saw nothing else until a couple of weeks ago when I watched an episode of Inuyashu. I am watching more now, to help me with Japanese listening. I like Naruto!

I watched Robotech, when I was 6yrs old, yep, you heard me, it was on in the 80's I was about 6 yrs old when I first saw it. Got me into loving anime, from there on, started a trend, and my first set of anime video's was Dragon Ball Z, all from japan too, lol, my Uncle bought it from China Town in Chicago when he went a trip there for me, thought I would like it. Anyways..yeah.

Wow...my first anime was probably the English-dubbed-and-wayyyy-edited version of Sailor Moon they used to show at like 6:30 in the morning. That and Dragon Ball Z, due to my brother.
