Start with whatever one you have access to and go from there...then choose from the ones you like and watch those, discarding the ones you dislike....makes things simpler that way...
to ask someone else about good anime series, hum maybe works for some, one of my anime friend sugested eva when i started to watch anime, but hum i think it really stink!!
well when i recomend anime to my friends i start with the "kenshin oav" =)
i mean i think the most of them is searching for serious anime series.
