My comics about Japan

I noticed that Japanese seldom complain openly about terrible food or service. Instead, they quietly go online somewhere to vent their frustration...

True. But what my husband does is pay and leave the food there.

He once left an entire course of untouched food on the table, paid and left.

Makes me wonder what your husband was dissatisfied about ^^;;

haha that is supremely passive-aggressive. Well played

I'm kidding. Why so serious?

Your remark seemed serious enough. Was there some way we were supposed to be able to tell it was in jest? People have some incredibly stoopid ideas about Japan. How were we to know that wasn't yet another one?

Mike, you do have a reputation for being overly serious and grumpy.

EDIT: Just to be clear here, I'm jokingly telling you the truth as a friend.

People add those silly juvenile markings to their posts to the point they become meaningless.

I asked a question regarding an opinion you offered and I don't appreciate your trying to play it off as my being "grumpy". That's as big a juvenile cop-out as trying to disown your statement by claiming putting a childish :P after it is the text equivalent of crossing your fingers or something. Equally childish is the whole notion of attacking someone's character and then trying to say you're doing it "jokingly" or as a friend. Have the stones to say what you think without dressing it up with weasel words.

This is purely my own opinion, of course, but I think your hatred toward emoticons is a bit misplaced, considering the fact that you've been acquainted with --and still actively take part in-- forum "culture" for at least a decade now. I also think that your seriousness is incredibly misplaced considering the thread you're posting in.

Saying that you're perceived as an overly-serious and grumpy person is no more of an attack on your character than it was for you say say I'm childish. I've asked before -- Are you only looking to argue, or are you genuinely bothered? If it's the latter, then staying away from threads that aren't absolutely serious all the time would be a self-evident solution, would it not?

I just asked you a simple damned question. You're the one who had to drag personalities into it. Welcome to the ignore list.

And I answered it. Look, we're all here to see some funny comics and comment on them, not to have a huge, in-depth debate over the specific components of them. If you're really that serious, then I'd be more than happy to have it out with you through PMs. I'd prefer not to derail this great thread any further though.

Welcome to the ignore list.
Ignorance is bliss. I bid thee farewell.

LOL, in fact I spent another 10mins at Omotesando today looking at how girls go up and down on their 5" platforms while waiting for my cousin!
It always amazes me XD

I absolutely can't wait to be able to visit and see some of these crazy things for myself! You don't get to see that sort of thing in the more rural areas, do you?

I seldom go to rural areas, but according to TV shows that go down to rural areas, it seems to be flat shoes all the way~

I saw this one on Facebook earlier. The "die" graffiti makes me cackle every time I see it.

Thanks for your like on Facebook! 👍
I was thinking of a word... but all were vulgar...so I chose DIE XDDD
