I speak English, but I've had people ask me if I'm actually from England. Some people seem to think I've got a sort of English accent.

I speak natively English (World Class English Speaker!), Russian (DUH!) and Hebrew (Double DUH!) 😊

My native language is Spanish, the second language is English and a for now I know a little of Japanese (I'm learning it this semester). ^_^

Chinese Mandarin and another dialect. I spoke those since I was a child.
English since I was... about 9?

My mother tongue is ebonics or black American English. I am fluent in standard American English. I also speak some Hausa, Arabic, Spanish and Wolof. I can read and write Arabic better than I can speak it. I am more fluent in Hausa than any other non-Western language.

oh to be able to speak fluently.

I just had a dinner with a few Japanese "soon to be friends", and found my japanese was better than their english (never happens)

it made me laugh to hear them say they couldn't express their feelings in english. WELCOME TO MY WORLD!!!!

I had no mother tongue.

My dad is French, I am born in France, my mom is Brazilian and she didn't speak French until I was 4 years old.

I have no idea what language she whispered in my ears.

Both my parents were multilingual.

My mother tongue is hebrew

Not so many I know can speak Hebrew in Japan.
and not so many Jobs offer for thus language.
Eventhough I speak good English the Japapnese companies always ask for native English speake.☝

English is mine... though I hope to get my Japanese to a reasonably good standard at some point. Shall have to study hard though!

Hmmm, Hokkien and Teochew are dialects in China. Do they count as 'language'?

I can speak English, Chinese (Mandarin), Vietnamese and Japanese :p

Idk. After all, we can speak and write it right. Hokkien words are written via Peh-oe-ji (白话字) But they are still dialects that are used up to this day :p
