My name is Takavar. i`m coming from Iran... and i intend to go to Japan i just don`t know how. does anyone can help me with that?
i love Japan on god knows how many aspects! I love their history, i love the music, the art, the culture... even the modern arts, mangas and animes (if you recognize my avatar (Haganenorenkinjutsushi) you know what i mean).
i even learned to plant Bonsai trees, i know about shoguns, about samurai and ninjas, about ancient stories maybe sometimes more than i know about my culture!
anyway, i really love to find some Japanese friends who can share their thoughts with me. so if there is anyone, just let me know.

I have lived in Japan for two years on the JET program and currently work for a Japanese company, so I sometimes go for business.
My interest started in elementary school, where one of my classmates was Japanese and brought Japanese books to class. From there I was really into Japanese robots and technology (cell phones mostly, before iPhone).

My housemate moved to Tokyo nearly 27 years ago. I promised him I'd pop over to see him before the year was out and did so in Dec '89. I stayed for 6 weeks (5 in Tokyo and 1 travelling all over) and fell in love with the country. When I got back to the UK I studied the language and made annual trips to Japan over the next 3 or 4 years... then my friend went missing after his divorce. This was pre-internet remember. One of his ex-pupils (whom I'd met a couple of times) informed me he'd surfaced in Nerima living with another former pupil. Aha! So - after a 4 year gap I started going again... and did that until 2008. Then I got divorced so was skint. I managed to save enough to start going again in 2012 and have been making 2 trips a year since then. My Japanese reading skills are atrocious (but I'm re-learning) and spoken is basic (so much forgotten over the years but I'm improving again), listening is actually better.

I'm hurtling towards retirement and intend to spend some extended time in Japan - perhaps even living there. Early days in my research but I think it'll happen.

well that is my story of how i got to be able to live here in tokyo, but i am sure this will only apply to younger people on this fourum who wish to live in japan!

I don't think it will apply to anybody else, young or old. I doubt if anybody else here has somebody who will buy them a car and house in Tokyo!

It depens if sommeone is free to do so and finds you cute inough , the world is not a very big place nnymore as it uset to be.

Ex japenese girlfriend who introduced me to japenese culture and much later two visits to Japan but I couldn't find my ex. Made it from Tokyo to Hitoshima. It was amazing but for one sob at the jal desk who wouldn't allow me on board
