My first language is English and I can safely say that i have mastered it

Im learning Japanese but ive only been learning a few weeks and I probably wont become fluent until ive ben in Japan for a while, I speak a little spanis and french but those lanuages bore me as they are so similar to English (No offence intended to French and Spanish speakers haha)

My native language is bicol(i bet u hven't hear dat), and tagalog(or filipino), my second language is english but not fluent though and also hoping to learn some japanese.

Hello everyone, my native tongue is Tagalog (Filipino) and English XD
and I've heard of Bicol ne ^_^

That means I'm the only one who didn't heard of Bicol...

oh well... there is always first time for everything... right?

Russian (native),english (I speek it badly,I think)))...Greece,German (had learn it in school).
now begin to learning Japan ^_^

I am fluent in english, In addition to that I can speak Hindi, Tamil & Malayalam. I can understand (and speak a little of) Assamese, Bengali, and Punjabi...

Unfortunately, I have still not been able to learn my Favorite Language Japanese... the school where I studied, never had Japanese as second language... I have not given up though and am currently using Pimsleur's Japanese Learning course, Its been good till now but Unless I speak regularly with someone good in Japanese who has the right accent and pronunciation I dont think I will ever get it right...
I never want anyone feeling that I am murdering their language...

I need to learn it fast before My Shotokan Karate Grandmaster Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa comes to India again... There is so much I need to ask and learn from him about Shotokan Karate-do... More over if I get a chance to visit Japan I must feel as comfortable as I am at Home... ;)

wow There are more Chinese here than there are Japanese, and it seems like 8 people out of 10 here are white.... I feel silly for thinking this is a "Japanese" forum. Where are the REAL Japanese at.

My mother tongue is Italian, but i know English and frech (ok a bad English and a bad French 😊 )

:joyful:
my mother tongue is Bahasa Malaysia.....
but we've been speaking in English since i was a baby....
so, i guess a mix of Bahasa & English for me.....
but i learned mandarin as my third language, but it was really hard.....🙇‍♂️
but since we have so many dramas on the TV from other countries (taiwan, India, japan etc.), we tend to understand a few words from other languages, right???
:-)👍

My mother tounge is slovenian, but i also speak english (my writing in eng. is horrible, sorry><) i also speak german, a bit japanese, croatian and understand a bit russian.

my native language is dutch (flemish, to be more precise, i guess), english is my second language, french third and i've started learning japanese months ago for fun but also because i can see how it makes travelling there (which i aim to do) makes it a more fun experience. it's also sort of a bet between me and my partner...haha

My native language is Tamil. Since my residence (in Mumbai), is outside the state in India where Tamil is spoken, I speak the language which is generally understood and is considered kinda official, Hindi.

English is the language in which most Indians are educated in (iam no different) and acts as the bridge language in India

Iam at Singapore and am looking at taking Japanese language classes.

I speak native English but I do speak and know some Japanese, Korean, German, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and French.

My mother tongue is Japanese. I speak English with my wife, but we both work in French-speaking environment, and I speak Romanian (with a heavy Moldovan accent) with my inlaws (ca sunt însurat cu o româncă din Oneşti)

eventho i live in belgium (flanders) my french is a disaster, i learned it from mid elementary school to the end of high school but i never used it much after that..i find it weird to find a job in flanders/antwerp etc lots of employers demand that you speak french fluent whilst people in the french part of belgium are usually not required to speak dutch fluent when sollicitating... when you're in brussels 90% of people speak french and i always reply in english. haha

it's even a bit scary that more and more people who come to live here don't speak dutch too, when i think of immigrants in other countries, like say, japan, you have to be able to speak/read japanese before you can move there ? unless you marry someone there i guess. belgium should be more demanding like that too. ;-)
