The Bummer and Rant Thread

I'm on coffee's side - I love the stuff! 👍

Errrrr... I'm not a caffeine addict, though. 😊

I drink tea, too. I like both tea and coffee. :gulp:

What's wrong with this picture? It's wrong! We do drink instant in the UK, but most people brew real coffee as well, and we love coffee houses! In my (small) town there are several coffee houses, and on a sunny day there are always people sitting outside sipping their mochacinos (however you spell it) and reading The Guardian. It is one of my favourite ways to relax.

Personally, I can't function without my morning coffee. If I don't drink a cup before I go out I am like a zombie. But I never drink more than two cups in a day, and never after 3:00, otherwise I will never get to sleep. 😊

Just thought someone should take coffee's side! :p

Hey don't blame me, blame the The History Channel because those were the stats that they gave off on last nights episode of Modern Marvels. :p

Not a caffine addict? Then try not drinking anything with caffine in for a week, that include Coke, Dr.Pepper, Red Bull and tea. If you don't notice a change in your moods, your family will. :angryfire I know from personal experience. My vice is now chocolate. :-)

lol - I've spent a week drinking only water, and not noticed any difference. 😌

I loathe and detest Coke, Dr Pepper, Red Bull, and in fact any fizzy drinks with the exception of ginger beer (I'm not sure of the reason  ). And I very rarely drink tea these days. ☝

I'm trying to cut down on my caffine, it hasn't been to hard. Right now, I'm in the middle of trying to replace my thing with coffee with juice. There are Starbucks in the UK? Even though they're not popular all that much, it still drives me crazy to know that somewhere there's a city who has at least 60 Starbucks coffee houses on each coner.

A bit of a bummer on behalf of my brother. His cat was hit by a car on Wednesday. It survived, but he has told me today that he has been speaking to the vet and it has been decided to let her suffer no longer. She has lost an eye and her jaw is broken in three places and she wasn't a very happy cat. It is a pity since she was only about 4

This is so sad, Mycernius :(
I can`t even imagine that something like this could happen to one of my fluffies.

Well, I'd say that depends on the person, Mycernius. In my case, I gave up drinking soda little over a year ago, never cared for stuff like Red Bull and usually only drink tea during winter months, and I've never suffered any sort of mood swings as I always stay on an even keel emotionally. In other words, I'm a dull and boring schlub 52 weeks a year! HA! If a person can handle going without caffeine, like I do, then it's no problem at all. You just gotta be strong enough to do it.
:-)

I gave up caffine because I was an addict. I had a pint mug and it took about 2 of these to get me going in the morning. One day I decided enough was enough and quit cold turkey style. From a caffine addict to none can seriously mess you up for a couple of weeks. I was just plain evil until it finally cleared from my system.

Yeah well, my girlfriend went home to japan last week, awww SHNAP!, i win :).

Yeah, well....You try feeling peppy when you have the horrible scorching memory of your girlfriend crying as you have to say goodbye at the airport, and stand across from each other with a barrier inbetween as she stands at the door to the departure lounge, then goes in, and you have to walk away.

Suffice to say it was a pretty sh***y day all round. 😌

its terrible to say goodby.. i remember it really good from the 4 times i needed to do it.. the last one was just 1 month ago.. thinking positive, but at the moment itself when i hold her for the last time, and put my lips on her lips, the tears were just falling of my cheeck.. and we both bursted out in crying, from sadness but also from happyness.. thank god i needed to run for my airplane (left 10min later lol) goodluck nurizeko

What really sucks is the whole "what do i do with myself now?" feeling, and doing things you used to do with her, and relising now and then "hey, she didnt call for me or come to me" and the general fact she isnt around doing her usual thing.

I look out into the backyard but she isnt there putting up her washing, she isnt monopolising the bathroom...she isnt sitting at my computer looking at her japanese websites and talking to her mum, all her japanese labelled stuff and bottles and what-not arnt lying around anymore....i have to watch futurama alone...just everything really, whats really wierd is having time to myself to think, with her i didnt need to think, when i was feeling naff or otherwise fed up, i would go to her.

Ohwell...*sigh*

*grabs a violin and starts playing a heart clenching tune of woe*

keep positive!!! you will be alright.. think of your plans, and fight for that.. for now keep doing what you have to do.. dont stop to long in this sad feeling

ill kick your ***.. so daijoubu yo

Today I'm not in a good mood. After I got done working out at the gym I decided to go to the DQ across the highway for dinner. Now when I ordered my food I should have only had to pay about $6.00 for it all. Instead they said the price was $7.28. Well I decided that I didn't need a medium Blizzard, so I asked for a small one instead. Now that should have brought the price down right? No it didn't! Instead they refused to change my price, and made me pay a penny more for my food, that should have cost only $5.85 to begin with! I hate DQ!!! 🔫

Aww Doc... :( .... Here - have a Marks & Sparks vanilla ice latte instead, they're gorgeous. :-)

I shoulda known better then to eat cheese but, i went to bed around 12 last night, and woke up fairly early from a nightmare...the knid that makes you think "hmmm...i think i'll avoid sleep for the immediate future.." so basicly i just got up and am tired.

Cheese induced nightmares suck, even if their rare.

Infact it seems to be a cheese + fairly late gaming session combo that causes it :S.

Ohwell ,what can i say, i love cheese sandwiches and i like gaming in my free time when my mates are online so :S.

I know where you're coming from, Nurizeko. I always have nightmares. :(
Yeah.... computer + bed time = not sleep. I have the problem that I will log on to do something quick like upload something or check my mail... and someone will be online somewhere where it's only about 3 pm and want to chat for ages, and I get sort of drawn in... ... I'm a $ucker I know, but I'm too soft-hearted.

I haven't had a nightmare since I was 13. Strange that.
I have just had a losuy week, full stop. Been off sick with some sort of stomach flu. Not really eating at the moment, just off food. I hate being ill, puts me in a bad mood.

Oh no Mike, I hope you're feeling better soon. :-) As for the nightmares Nuri, I can relate to that! I haven't had one recently, but I know just what you mean by, "hmmm...i think i'll avoid sleep for the immediate future.."! One I had ages ago, that doesn't sound bad when you describe it was this: We were driving along a coast road - there was nothing on the passenger side but a foot of road, then the sea. Suddenly the road just ended. I could see where it stopped about 50 metres away, but we were going too fast. I just screamed and Simon tried to slam the brakes on, but it was too late. I woke up just as we hit the water. The first thing I thought when I woke up was that it never occurred to be in the dream to try to swerve away inland. It freaked me out so much that I still feel nervous if we are driving near the sea! 😌

I'm sad... why? because i miss my wife, and sometimes i just want to cry.. its hard sometimes living on a distance, talking ot each other on the phone, i want to touch her and hold her.....

i dont have moment like this a lot, maybe just 1 time in a month.. but damn, it hurt :(

I cry for you dutch baka... I hope you will be reunited soon. Think of it this way. You are fortunate. You have someone who you love and they love you back. Not everyone can say that. :-)

Awww DB.... :( ... it's too sad..... :(

This thread is depressing - I shouldn't have come here... :(

I have no "rant", just "bummer"... I'm sick... Yesterday I was off work sick for the first time in 4 years O_o I wouldn't mind just getting sick, but I have to go on stage 4 nights running - I'm worn out and I just want to collapse and not move.

I want to cry too 😭 It kills me being away from my husband for 8 hours while we are at work! But like PKK says, at least you have someone to love :-)

Here We Go Again !!!

My desktop PC has crapped out again? Seems to be the same problem as a year ago when I got a virus? I just bought Norton 2006 protection system 3 days ago and installed it, so it doesn't make sence I could get a virus?
I just get a black screen saying : OPERATING SYSTEM FAILS TO LOAD error. Going into the BIOS doesn't help, going into recovery mode doesn't help, and 2 different sets of recovery discs do nothing. Looks like another trip to the repair shop and tons of money spent again to save my info in my "C" drive. UGH !!!!!!!

Frank

😭 :(

PS I HATE MY LAPTOP !
