11-11 = wanwan-wanwan (one = wan)
"Wan" is the Japanese equivalent of "woof" (dog bark).
One of our neighbours has two cars, and both have license plates with 39-39 (san-kyu - thank you). I still wonder whether there's a deeper meaning behind it.
