Friday august 16th, I will play at Open BETA of Final Fantasy XIV ARR

Is somebody will play too at Open Beta, at Final Fantasy on 24 august ?
which server will u chose ?
I will play with french friends, they will play on French server, and one (char name : DJILL) will play on japanese server .

FFXIV "A realm reborn" runs on PS3 and PC
we are playing on Japanese server "Ridill" and our nihon guild is "DETH"

FXIV: ARR Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: Windowsﾂｮ Vista 32/64bit, Windowsﾂｮ 7 32/64 bit
Processor: Intelﾂｮ Core™2 Duo
Graphics: NVIDIAﾂｮ Geforceﾂｮ 8800 Series, ATI Radeon™ HD 4770
Memory: 2GB (4GB recommended for 64bit OS)
Disk Space: 20GB.

You may notice that these are lower than the minimum system requirements for v1.0. This is because Square Enix wants the game to be more accessible and run on a wider range of PCs.


FXIV: ARR Recommended System Requirements

For the best performance you should aim to run the game on a system with at least these specifications.
Operating System: Windowsﾂｮ 7 64 bit
Processor: Intelﾂｮ Core™ i5
Graphics: NVIDIAﾂｮ Geforceﾂｮ GTX 660 or higher, AMD Radeon™ HD 7950 or higher
Memory: 4GB of RAM.

Square Enix released an official benchmark tool which will allow you to see if your machine is capable of running FFFXIV: A Realm Reborn and give you a score based on how well it performs. With your benchmark score you can see whether your machine will need an upgrade or not. The benchmark tool can be found at the official website and you get to watch a very pretty trailer while running it.

There will be a second benchmark around the time of FFXIV: ARR's launch which will include the charactor creation process. 2000 seems to be the lowest score that would comfortably run the game on default settings. All of the possible results are listed below.

[7000 and over] Extremely High Performance
Easily capable of running the game on the highest settings.
[5000–6999] Very High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform exceptionally well, even at higher resolutions.
[3500-4999] High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform well, even at higher resolutions.
[2500-3499] Fairly High Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings. Consider switching to a higher resolution depending on performance.
[2000-2499] Standard Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings.
[1500-1999] Slightly Low Performance
Changes to Settings Recommended Capable of running the game, but will experience slowdown. Adjusting settings may improve performance.
[1000-1499] Low Performance
Changes to Settings Required Capable of running the game, but will experience considerable slowdown. Adjusting settings is unlikely to improve performance.
[Under 1000] Insufficient Performance
Does not meet specifications for running the game.

I've actually met the standards, the first one only though. But I guess it'll give me headaches, because my laptop is overheating just by watching anime, or anything videos, or I speculate anything that will require massive usage of the specs of my laptop, or I don't know? I was waiting for that game for real, I used to have my own PS3 but I sold it because of financial problems, so my only access to that is through PC. The thing is, my laptop is yet dying atleast? Or maybe not. I went to a repair shop, it says that it only needs cleaning, then after that, the situation improved but didn't eradicated the problem. I guess there's more problem rather than just by cleaning, or I don't know still, I'm no IT guy. Anyway advice of what I should do? I wanted to Join the Japanese server too and learn Japanese as well. Thanks though!

Don't worry the servers are international, and if u don't speak japanese langage, it's easy .
In Game, Final Fantasy Chat cans translate from your language version in language of your choice 2 Japanese , 3 english, 4 French, 5 German.
