I have live in Okinawa Japan from '03 to 05'. I have live in Korea for 4 years, Germany 3 years, and the rest of the time in the states. Will be back in Japan on a 2 month Vacay, then moving back there late '07

I never go abroad....:( but i keep my hope that one day i can study or have relationship with one of you....

I live in the US, but I'm going to Japan for my senior year as a foreign exchange student. I talk to a lot of people there on MSN messenger and such, I'd love to talk on the phone if phone cards/cell phones/etc. were cheaper 😊

I hope to visit Japan after I master the language, it would make the trip more fruitful. :)

I have lived in the UK all my life but I would like to go and visit Japan at some point as the lifestyle and history does intrigue me.
There is a lot of fun to be had there I can see that from the people on here who have also visited the country, though it is very rushed and busy most of the time the people who live there seem to be always jolly and have a good sense of humor which is what people who are going there on holiday like.

I have heard from some of my friends who have gone over there for a well earned break that they would eventually like to live there at some time later in their lives.
It must be the whole atmosphere of Japan.

Has anyone else found this when they have visited? 🙂

I visited for a week once, then went back as an exchange student for six weeks. I'm going to go back again to study abroad in college, and I want to teach English there after I graduate, too.

So far I have only been in Japan total for roughly 1 month, over a span of 8ish months now. I hope to return in August and increase that by another week or two.

going to Japan is one of my biggest dreamz n yeah 1 day Im gonna fulfil that dream..but yeah ..damn itz gonna take some time until i get there V.V >.<

I did a one year undergraduate scholarship at Kumamoto Univerwsity in 1998/99 while I was studying at Japanese Studies section in Poland. Then I became an interperter which gives me a chance to visit Japan every now and then:-) Right now I'm in Shikoku with a bunch of guys visiting one of Sumitomo plants.
Did anyone here do a scholarship in Kumamoto at the same time??

I have stayed in Osaka for one and a half year as a kindergartener.....my Japanese father wanna me to learn Japanese
Now I've almost forgotten what I'd "learnt"there.I just remember some osakan dialects😊

My heart has always lived in Japan, unfortunately my body has never been outside the Continental US...

I've recently returned from a 3 week holiday in Japan. It was my first visit and was fantastic. Went to Osaka, Nara, Kyoto , Takamatsu & Tokyo.

Yeah! I've been in Japan once! It was the last year in november, as a tourist, just 15 days (unfortunately >0<). With luck, maybe the next year, at the end, I will go again, but as student, to learn japanese better one month or so ^^.

Lived in Japan

Hi

I'm in New Zealand now, but I spent about 10 years in Japan, living in a variety of cities.
I learned a great deal about kagura (Shinto theater) while in Hiroshima, and eventually published a book on my experiences
"An Invitation to Kagura: Hidden Gem of the Traditional Japanese Performing Arts".

If anyone has some background in kagura, and would like to share, please leave me a message.

Thanks

David Petersen
