I 've been living in Japan for almost one year now.

Hi, PachiPro!Pachipro said:Greetings everyone. A little intro for my first post:
......
I eventually will "retire" there in the near future and live out the remainder of my life there playing Pachinko to my hearts content.

My relationship to Japan? Remote, for now.
I've passed through twice, once through Yokohama Port, and then Narita, long time ago.
I had a Japanese-American classmate once, doing Manchu. And then there was this Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco I attended. And an exchange student stayed over just this year.
But that's about it.
Perhaps I'll visit Japan once I have a working knowledge of the language.
I would hate to impose on my host for even the most basic needs, communication.
But most of all, I'd like to have a definite plan before I go there.
Historical sites, museums, libraries, and bookstores are high on my priority list.
I also wonder where I might be able to pick up old, out-of-print books on Chinese turtle shell inscriptions. Japanese scholarship is supposedly superb in this field, as in many others.
