i have about ... 8 yrs of french & im learning japanese....

XD;... about as much spanish as is enough to get me in trouble when attempting it lol

English is mine with some spanish.........sad isn't it... 😌 :-)
Mine is spanish, but I speak english very fluently too.
And OMG! You're from the same country as me :p (Just noticed.)
Now I go hunt more people from my country :D

English is my native language. I've taken 8 years of French, 5 years of Spanish and 2 very long, hard, years of German. Somehow German was really tough for me.

I had kind of a language suprise yesterday. I was able to read at a very young age and could never imagine being illiterate. (unable to read) Well, I got an e/mail with a link to my hotel and there wasn't a place to select English. It was like being illiterate. What a terrible feeling; I truly have a better understanding of the importance of being able to read.

My native tongues are English and French. I'm Canadian, so it's pretty much a given to be fluent in both of those languages. Hopefully soon though, I will be fluent in Japanese as well. I'm already starting to learn on my own, but only know basic things like hello, thank you, and how to introduce myself (the non-formal way). So I can't wait to take my classes and one day move to Japan, and if not, then I will be visiting for sure.

That's great, Xyliacai. Good luck on your studing Japanese.
And if you have a question, you could always ask in the Nihongo Forum. ^_^

I wonder if I'm the only one who speaks Czech here. :-)

I can speak English on a level I'm content with. I can speak a bit German and Russian. I'm skilled though in many other languages: Perl, C, Bash... :-)

Mastering one's native tongue, let alone another is something to be supremely proud of. I think I have a good handle on my native English, and wish dearly to work on my Japanese. My fiancee speaks 3 languages fluently and I am amazed every time I think about it.

My mother tongue is Finnish. I've taken 4 years English and 2 years German. My English is sooo bad, but I hope you don't mind it.

my mother tonge is spanish but i learned english because i played videogames in my childhood :) and maybe my english is bad, but if someone want to write in spanish do not hesitate and do it.

en pocas palabras si hablan y escriben español, haganlo sin miedo a que los regañen jeje :)

my mother tongue is english and secondary vietnamese. I think in english and barely speak viet, but I can at least understand 70% vietnamese

my true mother tongue would be english but im fluent in chinese (canto) as well. i understand essentially 98% chinese (the 2% i kinda dont get is when conversations get really deep and get all poetical/literatury-ish)

=D English, but I'm making it a huge objective to have spanish mastered. I may only be 1/4 of Mexican desent but it's important to me to reconnect with that side of my family.

My main language is spanish but I also know english. The languages im interested in learning is mostly japanese and german

My native languages were English and a Southern Chinese dialect. I studied Spanish for about 4 years, and am currently studying university Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.
