What does your user name mean?

I chose my j-ref name simply to be something that in reality is not like it appears to be at first.

I don't have a 'Japanese' name... my name is Siena, does that have a meaning other than place name?

The-Beautiful-Roses a song by marilyn manson was stuck in my head at the time called The Beautiful People. I think roses are beautiful so my name is The Beautiful Roses.
 
My Japanese nickname means "Evil Omen". I go by Kyo for short. I also go by Akisame which means "Autumn Rain"

My user name is my last name but I don't know what it means. Does anyone know? Haven't found any information about it and I'd really like to know!

As for my first name I don't know what it means either so need to post it. Furthermore I don't like it since it sounds like a male name in Mexico and I've been told is not really Japanese but it has been adapted for an Occidental name
 
In arabic every name has a meaning ;for example my name means "perfection" .I'd like to know if all japanese names have also meanings...

Don't let it go too far. It is kinda annoying when you reach the level where asians actually follow you around town trying to talk to you and you don't understand a word of it. =/

'Revenant' is french, and it means 'one who returns from the dead'. I also use 'Wraith' on other forums. When I first registered for a forum, I couldn't think of a name, so I decided one of my nicknames in highschool would have to do. But actually thinking about it, I didn't quite like the ring to either 'Phantom' or 'Ghost', so I looked up synonyms to these names, thus I first registered as 'Wraith'. Later I also thought I would try out the other synonym I liked, and that was 'Revenant'.

My nicknames in highschool were simply due to the fact that other people didn't seem to notice when I came and when I left.

and mohd faudzi is my dad`s name

from ahmad --> mad + from afif ---> yf = madyf
don`t have any meaning
 
I didn't have much inspiration when I signed up here. I just combined the characters for 'west' and 'east', because I'm a westerner who's been interested in eastern culture my whole life. I realised later that 'seito' also means 'student', when written with different characters. Oh well, that also fits, I'm an eternal student
 
Well......

I picked "Uncle Frank" because I feel like other JREF members are part of my family. Father Frank sounded religious, Grandpa Frank sounded too old, so I settled on Uncle Frank as in the kindly old family uncle, everyone's friend.

I just used my frist name for the forum, but my Japanese name is Kunio which roughly means 'Country Guy' since I am a country guy.
 
My screen name is my favorite science fiction character from Frank Herbert's Dune novels. My real name is "David,", derived from "Dovid" in Hebrew, meaning "beloved [of God]".

Not many Japanese people have posted what their names mean. Oh well.
 
oohh...what does my name means?well it's easy harajuku from harajuku and ayu is the short form of ayumi, my japanese name.

Awwww! Thats so sweet!

Kirakira is Japanese for "sparkle sparkle" Kira itself is short for Kirameki which means "sparkle, glimmer, twinkle".

Its somewhat of an allusion to the meaning of my real name.

As for the 1232....apparently there is someone also called kirakira
 
Whenever I hear of Uncle Frank, I got reminded of Uncle Scrooge of Scrooge McDuck

Rgdg the username, well, my friends say that I talk a lot and thus thought of using Chirpy as my username, and 9 is my lucky number. That explains Chirpy9. Cool na....
 
My user name reflects the name of the place I've been spending a lot of time recently, Dogenzaka in Shibuya. I know it has a kind of seedy reputation but there are some truly fine eating/drinking places along the street.
And the seediness just gives it a little more depth, IMO. ......
