JREF is not my primary internet community, but I came here following from google searches on the foreign experience in Japan. I registered in order to be able to read all of the main subforums. Despite coming to JREF in search of cultural insight, I use internet forums in general first of all for entertainment and killing time. I enjoy debate.

I had been a member of this forum way back. I stopped coming though when I started my own set of websites with my best friend. It took a lot of our time. But now, I'm missing studying Japanese (I stopped taking classes years ago) and I miss visiting Japanese related sites. So, here I am!

I like to know that there are other people ho like the things I like. Like ballet, music, japanese culture and others.

I come here for the first-hand information on Japan, much of it from an outsider's position, which makes it even more valuable.

I still plan to live in Japan for a while, so it's interesting to come here and get some impressions.

That aside, there are some intelligent debates going on here and good discussions to be had. (From what I see whenever I get around to visit, which isn't very often or regularly. )

I have three reasons for being here. I am glad this question is here. I need to reafirm my stay in Japan. I've been losing motivation of late. Forgive me if I end up writing my reasons here more than once... it may happen.

1) My reason for being here is to see my long time friend, Kumi-chan
2) My reason for being here is to find Japanese women using technology in art for an art exhibit in Toronto at the Women's Art Resource Centre(WARC) for 2010.
3) My reason for being here is to get some teaching experience before applying to Concordia University in Montreal to get my Masters in Educational Technology.
