So it means wado's a little like aikido? ^^
Maybe I should try...very interresting...

No, Wado-Ryu is still Karate--mainly striking and kicking. Aikido is circular in movement and involves mainly throws and joint-locks. It's just that Aikido is considered a non-violent martial art because you don't attack. You only counter when being attacked. And you also learn to use your attacker's force against him. In practice, I've been thrown around by women half my size and pinned by them in a joint lock and not be able to move. I recommend Aikido to Women.

There are also no competition or tournaments in Aikido like they do in Karate. You practice attain self-mastery. You do, however, get tested and graded, e.g., shodan, 2-dan, 3-dan, etc.

Hotsuka Sensei Wado' founder had some Aikido thecnics in Wado ryu.......
but Wado is more a sport karate with kumite and kata comptetitions
meanwhile Aikido has no comptetions or tournaments....
Aikido is a very good martial art.....but not undestood a lot by western
that like comptetitions.....like Judo kick boxing full contact etc.....
also a lot of orientals are practicing contact sports like K1 or Octagon
or Thai boxing.
I am also intersted to know more about Shorinji Kenpo....
I have practiced Kosho Shorei Kenpo but it is different....

Lol I've only practiced some judo(7years), a little aikido(1 year), some shotokan(3months) and wing chun (2 years).

Well sometime it not depends on the style or what kind of martial arts
but on the master...i should trasmit something you that reaches inside your mind...it is not only tehcnics or kicks etc.....it is something more
it a way......but many masters look only on business and what I am writing is an uthopia....for them....pehrpas there are few tha follows thei students as that and not as customers of a shop.....
Find a good master....that gives more than others is not only an external
force but it is and inside force that he could transmit in you and let you grow...
I hope my text it is clear nut please ask me all you need to know or what it is not clear...

Actually I'm not asking for a sport with excessive violence but I wanted something like aikido or wing chun. However as you were saying, most of the masters only transmit the moves and other techniques, that's why I quit my aikido club.
The previous masters I had were only giving advice about how I should move my feet, arms, etc...but there wasn't any discipline at all ...

Heya everyone

Here's a pic of me taken with the web cam a few months ago and also a roughly self-drawn anime of myself (original on paper....-will be adding colour and effects with the comp later on in time)......the anime has my current hair-style tied back (usually its a little bit shorter and doesn't need tying back).
