Angel of Dark Winds is beautiful

I am attracted to girls who are into arts and music
lol you sound like any girl's fine as long as she's into arts and music :D
But I must admit it's true that these ones are often show the most passion, which is quite attractive ^^

Music and art were and are my passions. So why did I marry a guy who is only interested in motorcyles and circuit boards? Opposites attract? :? *sigh*

Lol most of the people I know stopped either art or music, but I don't know a single girl who's in music or art, unless you're talking about the "art of shopping" :D
AS for me I'm interrested in both, but...only when ti's related to a computer :p

Well, even though I'm not good at either one(music and art) myself, I love listening to it and looking at it. Not all girls are solely into the 'art of shopping'. I like to shop, but it's not my favorite 'art'...

Ah, Everyone has their good and 'not so good' qualities. We just have to respect the other's interests. For example I'm pretty sure than many people would find this interest of ours in Japan a little strange, but if we were to show them wat we like about our interest, they could come to appriciate it in the end.

I have always loved drawing & painting since a very young age, also I have always loved music & singing. my mother kept a cassette of me singing when I was 6 years old. At 8 years old, I started to play piano. I like to write songs and poetry too. I felt I could always express my emotions this way, if there was no-one I could talk too about something, I would write about it in ryhming verse. Well I say "would", but actually I still do that now. Most of my songs are about Love, but then that seems to be the main theme for songs all over the world. But that is probably what gives me most inspiration.

Most of the guys I know are into music and in bands. But they are mostly on the internet. Some of my male friends think it's weird that I'm into Sports cars & Playstation, because they say normal girls aren't like that. But that is just a stereotype. I beat all my Japanese male friends at all the PS2 games we played last time. Trouble is my Mother says, if the guys treat me as "one of the lads" then I will never get a boyfriend. I also asked some English guys about what type of girl they prefer, One who shares same interests, or One who is more feminine. They said she has got to be feminine, but also like football. I tolod them, "Good luck finding a girl like that then," LOL(^_~)

lol Well each person is different as for myself I gave up on the piano after 1 week when I was 9 (Now I'm barely able to play silent night) and haven't drawn anything since I was 15 (about when I discovered animes) ^^
Anyway I often go to some piano concerts since I love this instrument and sometimes I go to some arts expositions with my friend...
I don't think I can really judge and give a valuable point of view since I'm not really sociable irl and don't make lot of acquaintances, but the few girls I know irl are only thinking about shopping and I prefer not telling what happens when I'm "forced" to go with them O_o
However I don't think it's necessary for a girl to be feminine as long as she shows her true self. One of my friends has a girlfriend who's at the same kung fu club than me, and he still loves her even if she tends to hit really hard when she's upset (and believe me, if I wasn't able to dodge 90% of her hits I'd be already screaming in pain).
To my mind girls with a passion like art or music (or even some sport) are the most interresting because they have an aim.

Some people might not like me for saying this, but I think it is true that most guys do prefer a feminine girl. I like games and some 'boy' stuff, but when it comes down to it I'm very 'girly'.

A childhood friend of mine is the same age as me (almost 28) and she has yet to have a really serious relationship with a guy. I think the primary reason she hasn't, is because she tries too hard to be 'one of the guys'. She drinks with them, she watches sports with them, she has burping contests with them(*cringes at the thought*), and does other guy-ish things with them. She does all of this thinking she can find a steady boyfriend/husband-to-be, and then gets angry with me when she gets blown off because she says I've never had problems with getting guys. She also sets her standards ridiculously high. All she's concerned with is getting a 'hot' guy. Oh, don't get me started...

lol Well it's the same thing everywhere ^^'
A girl I know get a new boyfriend almost every month, and a handsome one each time (I dunno how since she's not what Common people can call beautiful, and I'm not the one saying that). However when you look at most of the teens, they're just looking for handsome boyfriend/girlfriend to show and then after 1-2 months it's finished...
Being a guy studying computer sciences (thus always surrounded by other guys), I've also noticed that most boy prefer a feminine girlfriend, but...well, geeks are geeks... :D:D

@ dreamer: well not really, to be honest, other than being into arts and music, she has to be physically attractive to me also,Angel of Dark Winds certainly have both of the qualities

@ Sakura:
yes,it is common for people to write love songs,I think since music is really about expressing feelings, and love is one of the feelings,so people write love songs, nothing wrong with that,I also like listening and writing and playing love songs. but as a person who is into rock music [no,I am not into those Korn,Marilyn Manson and Blink182 stuff, I am into real rock n roll, and jazz/fusion,flamenco stuff, some pop],I think there are other things that we should write about, such as the problems in the society, and things happening in the world.

@ kirei na me:
there are many guys who likes electronic and computer stuffs,I am not one of them, these stuffs really bores me and I don't care about those stuffs at all, when I was grade 9 and 10,I took this Power Mechanics class for credits, while everyone were so into making those car engines work,I was basically waiting for the classes over

one of the reasons why I am attracted to girls who are into arts and music
is that we will have something in common,we'll understand each other more
there are people who just don't understand about artists and musicians,
they don't understand why we do and think things like that

I've had a Chinese girlfriend a few years ago,she plays piano although she is not good at it,I remember one time we were going to drink bubble tea, even though it was just a few dollars, she didn't let me pay money although I insisted I should pay,she said that I need the money for playing music...

if a girl likes basketball, that will be a bonus
so she'll watch and play basketball with me
since basketball is like....my life!

Well, it's only natural that a guy tries to find a girl that is feminine, up to a certain point of course. I mean that's how nature made it to be. It's true that if the girl is considered to be one of the guys, she will have difficulty to find a bf. She shouldn't changer herself, but maybe start to demonstrate that she has a feminine self too. It goes the same for girls I think. I mean a girl wouldn't want to be in a relationship with a "girly" guy :p

Actually, girls tend to like guys like that, because they are sensitve, apparently macho guys are more likely to stray, I read in article. Also I know an awful lot of girls who fancy feminine guys. But I do see what you're trying to say. They probably prefer guys too right, if they are camp?

Whatever you do, just don't fall in love with a tennis player.

To them, "love" means nothing! Zero! Zip!

:sorry: :D 👍 👍 😊 :p :sorry: :D 👍 👍 😊 :p

Maybe I phrased my post badly. I meant that girls won't propably like a guy that likes to do girl things. What's camp ?

Merci!

I do my best. I don't drink or smoke, I lift weights and do Chi Kung every day. I can lift heavier weights today than when I was in my 20s. True!

Exercise is the single best way to fight the effects of aging, next to proper diet. Some Chi Kung masters I know are in their 70s and look like they're in their 50s.

But I wish I had more hair! :(

That sounds cool. Can you do EQ ? Thats like external Qigong, like using your energy to improve others' chi flow. I also read in a Taoist book that a good diet, exercise and the correct flow of Chi can increase your longevity and maintain your body younger than the average person.

Duo & Goglo: like jackie Chan is maybe middle-aged now, but he is still in very good shape, because he keeps himself fit. His stunts are so clever!
Duo: Camp is man who acts feminate. I could give you examples of celebrities who are camp, but the are English, so you might not have heard of them, as they are not internationally famous. Just TV presenters & such. I have couple of friends who are camp, people who don't know them very well, think that they are gay, but actually they like women, so they think like man, but just act like women most of time.

@femininity - I think that a girl can be athletic and feminine at the same time. In fact, I happen to like athletic girls. Now, if you walk, talk, and in general act like a guy, then that's not feminine.

@Golgo13 - Haha. Although there are some pretty good looking tennis players.

@girly guys - I would imagine that girls don't want a guy who is feminine, just like guys don't want girls who are masculine. Sure, every girl says that she wants a guy who is sensitive and will cry at sad movies, but then they go after the "bad boy" who has not an ounce of sensitivity in him. Of all the girls that I have known, they have all wanted the guy to be the strong, manly man first. If he is sensitive too, then that's a bonus. As long as he's not too sensitive.

@ridiculously high standards - It seems to me that most people who have ridiculously high standards intentionally make them so, so as not to find a lover as a defensive mechanism. But then they get upset when it succeeds, because biology takes over at a certain point. I guess the only thing that will keep such a person from going crazy would be to either overcome the fear, or accept the idea that they really don't want to be intimate with anyone (at least for that period in their lives). That's just what I have picked up from observation.

a spanish female friend of mine said I am kinda more feminine,
well I don't think so...
I think I am maybe her first Asian male friend,so maybe she does not know too much about Asian males.
and she is very boyish but she has her feminine side
she plays acoustic guitar and sings

some people think asian guys are more feminine, well maybe,I don't know.
but that does not mean we are weak though,I am just the kinda laid back person, but when competing something I like, especially basketball game,I am very very competitive

I often give energy healing for people who are willing to give it a try. I've had successes with speeding up the healing of bone fractures. Also, I give private lessons. My last student, who now lives in Oregon, was a few grades below a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do.

Here's what Mad Pierrot said about my External Chi Kung when I gave him a demonstration in Japan (see my "I'm in Japan" thread at I`m in Japan! ):

Believe me, it was nice to spend a day in the city. The demonstation was cool as hell, too. I really need to find a Qi Gong (sp?) Sensei while I'm still in Japan. To anyone on this forum who doesn't believe in that kind of stuff, it was friggin amazing, and I'm usually skeptical. Take my word for it.

Well, you have to understand I'm normally a very skeptical person when it comes to this kind of thing. I tend to agree with people like Richard P. Feynman who called soft-sciences "witch doctoring." That being said, I'm open minded. (Most of the time...)

Anyways, back to Golgo's demonstration. After he did a warm-up and such, he asked me to place my hand palm open in front of him. I didn't feel anything at first and was dissappointed. Then he moved his hands closer to mine I felt kind of a shock. The best way I can describe it is to say it felt like a weak battery current. As he moved his hands closer, I could feel it stronger. Weird ****, I have no idea how he does it, but it's definately the real thing.

Regardless, I was suitably impressed. Hands generating an electrical current is not something I expected.

Yeah there are many skeptics out there, but Qigong is used in Chinese medicine all the time. Traditional Chinese Medicine relies heavily on Qigong. IN many Chinese Hospitals doctors encourage the usage of Qigong. It's incredible on the effects it can have. I hope I get to try it sometime. In Canada they are begining to experiment with it. In some time from now it might be accepted by the west as an effective healing process just like it was for the acupunture in the 70's.

The only problem is training people to become skilled practitioners.

I've been doing Chi Kung since early 1987 and it was only after about 14 years of practice that I noticed I was able to generate palpable energy with my hands. Then a few more years until I found I could direct energy to a sick or injured person to speed up their healing.

Rate of progress depends, of course, on the individual, but who in the West has the patience to go on practicing something for 16 years without any guarantee of success?

Yeah that's true actually. In fact one has to watch out cuz there are 'fake' qigong healers out there that can cause more damage instead of good. We need the good old chinese masters to help us out :p

Reminds me of the "fake" evangelists on TV, or even those who aren't on TV. Jimmy Swaggart comes to mind...

I think when you talk about Chi Kung to some western people,
they think about walking on walls and maybe shooting fireballs
some of them do not know Chi Kung can be used for medical

Ah thanks for clearing that up for me, I just wasn't familiar with the term CAMP

Great observations.👍
There was a girl in High School I used to like that was very athletic but also very feminine. Intoxicating mix :p .
I also noticed that a lot of people have too high of standards. I think that partially this is also due to TV that portrays always unreal beatiful people that have a ton of make up that makes them look as they are prettying away from this world.

Maybe they have seen too much DBZ 😊

But in fact I saw at natitonal geografic that this one Shaolin monk, used his chi energy to throw a needle throw a window. The needle went thru the glass. It was amazing 👍
