anyway, about 3 years ago when I was in the army my group of 8 people were told to report to the regement museum for refitting.. which ofcourse sounds a bit off... turns out we were going to entertain some high'n'mighty international army officials comming to visit..

since these officials see displays of army strength every time they come to a new place, our CIC had the glorious idea of giving him a show of how we did war.. at the turn of the last century.. so we were fitted in uniforms from the museum dating back to ~1890..

people back then were tiny, so the taller of us had some problems finding clothes that fit, but we did find it after a while (I had the stroke of luck of finding an officers jacket. not only was it my size, it was of a much more comfortable material than the 100% woolen jackets the rest had to use )

We then went on one week of intensive training in bloody medieval combat maneuvers. we had to learn to swing the rifles (with huge bayonettes mounted on them) to look all flashy too. and some other random stuff... they also hired some local enthusiasts club that had horses and their own battlegear and did this roleplaying every now and then.

Anyway, the point is we took some pictures because we had great fun looking at eachother.. but the two people with the cameras never got around to spreading the love. But now finally, I got a few pictures that one of them scanned.. one of them with just me in it. And I look like I'm 14.
