My parents are a different story though. My dad started to hyperventalate in the training pool while he was learning to dive. Eventualy he actualy managed to go dive and watch a shark feeding, so a fear of water isn't going to completely hold you back. Once you get below the surface everything is like swiming through the air.
I charter a boat with some people every time I go out to the bahamas, but I'm not certified yet. That's the only pic that I have of me, but there are a few others with other people.
(don't realy know how people can be afraid of water, but I took swiming classes from age 3... well that and Tae Kwon Do, but I think thats a little strange)

The trick is to act like you realy dont care what everyone else thinks as to subtly let them know that the topic doesnt realy matter--if you dont like your pic--so that way, if they make a comment you can just brush it off.
For example:
My photo has me wearing goggles with pink lining--overshadowed by the fact that I'm underwater--but no one realy cares because I dont care... where was I going with this?
BTW: are you phillipino or hawiian by any chance?

No, actually I'm white. (Why do you ask?) Actually, I really don't care what people think of me, I just don't like the way I look in pictures period. I don't like smiling (I'm a very stoic person), and I don't like the way I look period. I'm fixing the pessmestic feelings I have towards my physical appearance, but it's a process.
