Basically, what I mean is, a man doesn't have to wear a dress in order to be dressing in drag. They could wear other female clothing. Skirts, halter tops, female pants, et cetera.

There's a place just up the road from me called 'Hyde's Herbal Clinic'. I kid you not. And just near it, there is also a cafe called 'Vanilla'. I have a theory that the two are connected by some vast underground cavern, where jrock plays continuously and it is populated by an endless partying crowd............. *dreams*

to be in 'drag' and to wear womens clothing are two different things....
Jrockers.... are not drag queens... and ingeneral aren't cross dressers, but we'll call them that for argument's sake...

to be in 'drag' would be for themto be really embelishing the fact that they're guys dressing as girls.... with hidiously over dramatic makeup and amazingly drastic outfits - not like the VK style...

No, wait, actually not. I think Hyde is more girly than Mana; Am I the only one in here who doesn't really think of Mana as a woman or very very feminine? I think of Mana as Elegant. Mana is just elegant. I never think about him as a he or a she. Just a perfectly dressed up person with good make up. ( I don't mean to say I don't like him. I do. )

Yup! Pink and yellow are EVIL~! Except forr electric/hot pink, especially in the hair. But that's besides the point. Aya is evil (and not in the good way!) and just downright HORRIFYING!

Yesh. I do agree.

And nope. My first Japanese singer was Kotani Kinya and then Gackt and then L'Arc~en~Ciel I do so believe. I have a horrid memory though. All I really truly remember is seeing an icon of Hyde and thinking he was a she and moving past him. And then catching another look at him and my one part of my mind deciding that was a man whilst the other side held true to the believe he was a female still.

Then I proceeded to have a battle with myself ("I think that's a 'he'..." "No! It's a she you stupid!", et cetera) for 5-10 minutes before I gained some intelligence and just clicked on his name.

I agree there were some... wrong turns when it came to style in the early 90's (and 80's). But Miyabi was hot.
