Who has seen it?

I think it's brilliant - so much better than "Spirits Within". However if you've not played FF 7 you're going to be completely lost.

I watched the subtitled version and the dubbed version, and in the dubbed version Cait Sith is Scottish...very, very Scottish, which is weird lol.

I need to buy a PS2 so I can play the new final fantasy games because the last one I played was FF8 on the PC.

I've seen it. Its very cool, not brilliant thoug. Its a true nice movie but (imo) I think something's missing-- I don't know what, but, its a filling that don't let me love the movie to death.

I've watched Japanese Version white English DUB.

Do you want a small advice? If you are in a hurry to play Final Fantasy games, its a perfect choice to buy Playstation 2 but if this is not the case, then I think that is logical to save money and wait for PS3. Ok, it's a bit  expensive, but it worth the money. It's a powerful machine.

Well take care 👍

I liked AC very much, and I'm not even a FF fan! Maybe just character fan...

Anyway, it is better than Spirits within.

Are the games going to be playable or available for ps3?

Thanks for the advice dude :) Much appreciated.

Yes, I too think it feels like there is something missing, I can't quite put my finger on it.

It is beautiful tho!

:)

I hope they are available lol.

Yes, it's much better than Spirits in my opinion :)

Hello to you both btw.

I agree i loved the movie too but there was something missing and in my opinion it was everybody else the story focused to much on Cloud i wanted to see more Reno,Rufus,Cid and so on

they only showd you Elana and Tseng briefly and i think that's what spoilt it but it was fantastic

I already have a Playstation two but i will prob trade it in when the PS3 comes out 😊

You can play PS1 PS2 and PS3 games on it so it's worth the money:-)

I carn't wait for MGS4 and the new Medal of Honer but i have to say the look for Final Fantasy 13 didn't impress me ☝

I have watached the movie..yup..the pictures are brialliant but somehow I don't really crazy about the movie.......something isn't there for me in the movie but i do not know what it is.....

I saw the movie but I wasnt all that impressed, I mean yeah the picture quality was top noch but...the movie was just missing something imo. Not sure what it is but I know something was off.

Maybe you guys focused on the fact that the movie was a sequel to the game and you've neglected its own topic...I liked the movie even though I didn't play the game , I mean who needs to with all these astonishing graphics and great story! You just get attracted to it and just can't resist..
I also think that the focus on Cloud was a positive step in the making of the film.. maybe it's because he had all the great fight moves !!:-)

I love that film. The Graphic is so nice. I wished to see more Aerith in the Movie >.< but it was ok. At the End I was crying a little bit, because Aerith was so nice and so on. ^^ I played FF7 and I like the game much. ^^
(And it made me happy tha Aerith is in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. There she is so sweet!)

You should be able to buy easily enough in your local high street. But if you still cant find it go to hmv.co.uk or a similar site and order it online

It's so goooooooood. I don't even play Final Fantasy but it has some sick visuals just like the game's cutscenes. I hope they make another one.

I have it on DVD. Quite possibly my favorite movie.

I still liked The Spirits Within a lot more though. This one has some nice action, but the storyline lacks a little.

Final Fantasy: Advent Children is the Final Fantasy movie, fans were expecting for a longtime. Squaresoft did a big mistake with FF:the Spirits within. It was not only confusing the mainstream audience but also showed a movie which has nothing to do with Final Fantasy (no alternate human planet but just the Earth in the future and ghost aliens instead of monsters, no magic, no chocobos etc.).
The fighting scenes in FF:AC are stunning although sometimes even too fast!
The story isn't that easy to follow even for someone who played FF7 which causes many people asking themselves: "What are they talking about and why are they doing this and that".

I got the storyline no probs but my family whi have not played the game found it confusing

I love the way they did Reno his looks style attitude and the brillent voice acting of Quintin Flynn made Reno steal the show i had been waiting so long to see him as somthing other than a lego man

But i was disapointed in the fact that they didn't showcase the other charicters very much

Does anybody know is Reno in Dirge of Cerberus?

I haven't seen ot, or played Final Fantasy VII. Only IX, X, and X-2 [and Kingdom Hearts I].

I've seen multiple trailers though! If that means anything! :p

I really liked the movie. The voice actors really fit the characters and the music was great! You couldn't help, but feel for Cloud in this movie. Poor guy saves the world and then he gets sick. :(

I really like this movie cause I'm a fan of FFVII.
But I think that Sephiroth has a too short part
And Vincent... -.-
But all in one it's a good movie 👍

I was rather disappointed with it. They did a lot of fight scenes to make up for the lack of story.
then again i'm very cynical with movies....

Yes, i've seen AC too, I have it at home on DVD, to be more accurate. I have never played FFVII (unfortunately:() but i bought the special edition that comes with the documentary "Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII" which explains the lot and includes original screens of the game too. After seeing that I quite understood the storyline. Watched it in japanese with english subs (this is the real thing). Animation was brilliant of course, nothing else was to be expected, but damn I agree with Leenary, Vincent's part was just way too short! and boohoo, poor Aerith...

All of you are being really harsh on The spirits within, although it had nothing to do with the FF series. That was quite a disappointment, 'cause I wanted to watch the movie because of FF. (I own FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII) But the animation was ok and the storyline wasn't bad either. So what's with all those unhappy faces?☝

I saw it in Japanese with the english sub, and then I saw it in english dub. I liked all the fight scenes, but yea I do think that Sephiroth had a really short part and that was it. But I still liked it.

Yeah Me too, I saw it in japanese with czech subs ^.^ Well I like the story of this movie and I loved Vincent ^.^ He was so amazing >.< and strange *muach* Well it's my fav. movie...

Spirits Within is all title and no talk. If you've played any of the FF games (especially before they got bad with X and up), you'll know that it has nothing to do with the franchise.
AC is often accused of having an awful storyline and too much action. If you watch it enough times, get past Cloud's pitiful angst, you can begin to pull out all of these subtle layers of storyline that are expressed mostly through character interaction and dialogue and expression. This is all mostly lost if you watch it in English instead of Japanese, also, at least the version that I have the Japanese is different than the subtitles read, because the subs are just what the English dialogue is. Much of the subtle character arc and story changes is lost in the English subs- So learn Japanese!
Also, considering most movies are at least double the length of AC, you have to account for the fact that they did an excellent job of the story for the hour and thirty they allotted it.
As for Sephiroth- his part was short but powerful. Go play FFVII if you want an indepth story about Cloud, and a longer series of Vincent and Sephiroth scenes.

Cheers-
