What's your favorite doramas (japanese soap operas)?

I'm waiting to get Japan-TV though cable to get all the dorama goodness I want, but for right now I only have weekend nights on channel 8 (KTSF), where they play Wakaba and Yoshitsune (I think that's what it's called). Those are the only ones I'v been exposed to but I really like them.

Hi, do you know Mottokare (my ex boy friend) and Yamato nadesicoo?? I saw them when I was in Japan the last time and they're old now but I found them soo funny.
Are you in Japan now? there 's corean drama that's really big there called.... oups yes, winter sonata I'm pretty sure.

No, I'm not in Japan right now- I'm going this summer though, can't wait. That's why my only chance to watch any Japanese TV right now is on Sat. and Sun. nights on a San Francisco channel . But I'm grateful for what I'm getting, I really love the shows.
I think I've heard of Mottokare, but I've never seen it. What I'd really like to see is a show called Orange Days- I hear it was really popular.

My favourite dorama (although I've only seen three yet) is "Golden Bowl" with Takeshi Kaneshiro..although it is not subtitled I still could "guess" what they sort of were talking about.

But if anyone knows where I can get a subtitled version, please let me know

You can get Japan-TV in USA? That's nice!
We don't have a Japanese channel in cable TV here in Australia.

hmm I don't really have a favorite but I liked Gokusen I think it was called but it didn't have any subs -_- sadly and Hotman was funny too. Right now I'm watching Yoshitsune drama with Takky it's really cool it takes place in early days of japan.
I know this out topic but does anyone watch korean dramas?

I really Loved Ikebukuro West gate park! it had a great cast in it, and great story lines!!!!

also i like H2 (wich is from the Anime)

Favorite dramas include; Beautiful Life , Good Luck , Long Vacation , and Bus Stop .

I mainly like watching dramas with KimuTaku as leading actor, his acting ability is incredible.

hmm.. i think tiger and dragon's played by misaki ito, so.. i have high hopes on it

my recommend list..
kiken na aneki ( misaki ito ).. funny story balanced with sad, and the soundtrack.. perfect!! i you love classical music, then the soundtrack will just right on your ears
it's about a sister with huge debt and moved to japan to live with his brother who's working as an intern

densha otoko ( misaki ito, again.. ).. beauty and the geek story.. it's a must watch
