all these 'sex in Japan is wired' comments just.... well...
i dunno how much people know... and i don;t want to insult anyones inteligence, so... i'll just say it...
you know like... 200 years ago when Japan was all cut off from the rest of the world bcause the emparor of what ever (i forget his actually title
) was all huffy and didn't want to be 'contaminated' by the rest of the world, and to have his people all oblivious to what was going on, yadda yadda yadda..... yeah?
well.. err... the 'pleasure' quarters played a HUGE part in the cultural society.... the contrie was practically governed by who could afford who... and then, the ultimate, who could aford to pay off the fee of one of these woman, in order for them to become their wife.
the difference betwene the old Japanese ***** houses and typical western ones, was that... they weren't seen a s a BAD thing to take part in.... they were like the 'it' thing...
the whole society revolved around on what sort of girl was seen as 'cool' to be screwing, lol.... it was 'wierd' XD
BUT.... gay sex has been going on in Japan for centuries....
for starters, there's the origen of Yuri - there was a lesbian tribe that whent by that name - but also...
the piests where strictly not aloud to have intercose with a woman... however, there was no law that said they couldn't with men.... so the 'pleasure quarters' took young boys, and dressed them up as woman, to service this sort of costomer....
actually... i think this only stopped when commador Perry came in his stupid black ships and was alll eeeeewwwwwwww >.< that's just WRONG!
ofcause, the Japanese said the same thing about slavary... but then the stupid English said slavary was no different to what they were doing with their women
see... this is one of the reasons why i like Japan.... beause even if they've changed a lot since then.... originally they saw nothing wrong with this....
and yes, ok so the women were 'sold' BUT they got an emensly great education and it was VITAl that they were good conversationalists and witty and... had a good mind of their own....
in the stories you always hear od the men being the herros.... but in actual fact, there's a lot of women behind their heroicy....
) IT's very angsty, and the guys, or one of the guys, tends to feel scared and confused due to what he's feeling (love for a male friend). But then in the end, they end up in eachothers arms - like very very verrry VERY close friends
(Note that the guys in the series I like are ALWAYS grown up (teenagers=myage) and they're most of the time the same age (could differ with one or two years) - no little boys... or old men...

The reason why I brought this is up is because it seems culturally accetple to have this "fascination" with children. In some cultures that is. I always thought that it was universally wrong. :?
When I read that wikipedia article in some societies "friendships" with children is accepted. So, I suppose this is a cultural thing. ☝
