Oh, muscles aren't all that bad. I don't like a really husky guy but I don't like real skinny ones, either. I do belive that big macho looking guys aren't good for yaoi or shonen ai.

A medium build for me is the best looking and we rounded form that a man should have. It's not too skinny, but not too muscular at the same time. Ryu, the character from the DOA games that I showed earlier has a medium build. That's what I'm aiming for; 180lbs and a medium build.

and... yum.... *sigh* in 'yaoi'... muscular men are more common.... yaoi is actually... the hentai version... we all use it as the same as shonen-ai... but it's really ment for the hentai... of which muscles factor a lot in... it's really disturbing, you don't whant to know.
shonen-ai however, yes, skinny is definatly the key factor. of cause there's always the doujinshi's... but they're 'spin offs' if you will... 'fan comics' (very rearly draw by the originaly mangaka... infact i think maki murakami's probably one of the only ones to do a doujinshi for her own work: the mangaka of gravitation) again i'm refering to the hentai doujinshis... don't get me wrong, doujinshi's aren't all hentai, they're 'amature comics', a lot of which are fan comics contaning hentai...

The skinniness is supposed to show off how the males in the shonen-ai are to be feminine. While there's nothing wrong with that, it also shows and confirms women's fears of men with muscles. Muscles=Testosterone=Tough and Rough=Bad. You ladies are too transfixed on men with no muscles at all. Of course one reason why you like it so much is because it makes you feel like the masculian ones. If the man is more like a woman and is submissive, then you are the ones that take lead. It makes you feel like you're in control of the relationship, which is one reason why women like yaoi so they picture themselves as the man taking charge not as a woman. It all depends on the psyche of the woman, and which insecurity or factor has caused them to pick yaoi in the first place.

imagine, guys are looking for masculine girls, and if they are not there, they prefer to have a boyfriend.

so far. shouldn't the question be "list of things which are sexy- concerning boy/boy". and, i agree kissing scenes might be cute sometimes- if they occur too much, this sucks. people have put up all these j-rock pictures- i highly doubt guys prefer to kiss, even to kiss at all. it seems like a parody, or designed to entertain girls...

however, "samurai deeper" is not obviously shonen-ai: the story plays around girl/boy most likely. now, that's not the cause of life, means "other things" occur too- statically. now, this is not "yaoi", but...figure out yourself. it plays in the beginning of the 17th century.
