Did I hear Lebron gurantee a chamionship?

He'd better be careful! That's how Rasheed Wallace wound up with egg all over his face!

:D

Anyone else think LeBron should've pulled a three at the end of the game?

Probably. And that cost the Cavs in game seven when they disappeared, or ratehr, were buried by the Pistons, scoring all of 61 points on Sunday. LeBron did all he could, but his teammates never showed up.

Well...the Clippers were completely mauled today! Hell...did they even show up at the arena?

Argh! My Clippers! They played PHX tough for a while, didn't really get down big until the 4th. Against a team like the Suns, a 10-point deficit can evaporate, but they just kept making shots to kill runs. Dunleavey went away from Brand by not re-posting after double teams, and went away from Maggete after a solid 1st quarter where he was drawing fouls every time he went to the hoop. By the time he came back in during the 3rd quarter, he lost whatever rhythm he had. Tough loss, but they had a hell of a year. Next year: 50 wins!

I definitely wouldn't say that. The Suns just pulled away after the game was already decided.

Well, at least the Clippers didn't humiliate themselves last night like the Cavs did on Sunday. 61 points? All of 23 in the second half? Are you kidding me? That was shameful!

This Heat/Pistons is going to be another great series. My (back-up) boys, the Heat looked great in Game 1 and almost came back in Game 2.

The other Suns/Mavericks series will be exciting to watch with all of those great offensive players.

I am going for the Mavericks. I think they will take it all, and I hope they do.

poor Lebron and his guarantees......

Would you guys compare him to Michael Jordan? On ESPN they had shown a sigment where it said Lebron vs. Jordan. Didn't watch it, but seemed interesting.

LeBron is a great player already, but I think it's too soon to compare him to MJ. He'll have to lead his squad to a couple of Titles before I'd consider it.

He's off on the right foot though, a great start to what I think will be a great career.

I guess this belongs here

I'm getting Japan's soccer jersey and I know Hidetoshi Nakata wears number 7
on the national team while he wears 16 on Bolton. But since there's two Nakatas in the national team (the other is Koji Nakata). I'm wondering if Hidetoshi put H. Nakata on his back of his jersey or not? Or is it just Nakata?

Well....Shaq has almost made good on his promise to bring a Championship to Miami! Of course he would have never made it this far without Wade...and vice versa.

I watched the funniest show on Spike TV today. Called Pros and Joe's

Basically they start with 3 average Joe's and they compete with former professional sports stars. Today's show had Jerry Rice, Jim McMahon, Matt Williams, Dennis Rodman, and Bill Goldberg. It was a decent way to spend an hour. Anyone else see it??? Jeff??

And the Heat will face the Mavs for all the marbles. Should be a fun and interesting match-up. Can't wait to see it!

I've heard of it, but haven't seen it yet. Sounds mighty interesting, I'll have to check it out sometime.

I like Rodman too. He slammed Utah a lot during the finals against the Jazz.
I found it humorous.

Looks like my prediction on the Mavs taking it all is starting to play out.
It'll happen...

Someone explain to me how a guy who is making millions, is young, single and has a Super Bowl ring and is the leader of the team is dumb enough to ride a crotch rocket without a helmet? Rothlesburger split his skull (7inches), broke his jaw, lost some teeth. What the hell man...being rich and successful isn't enough? You have to wreck your face in order to have a good time?

Some guys just don't realize how good their life is!

Yeah, no kidding! I am really saddened by this news.

Good thing he didn't die though.

Now they're saying he might play this season. That guy is very lucky. He could've wound up like Jay Williams from the Bulls, talented player who ended his career (as far as I know) in a motorcycle crash.

Both are lucky that they survived though.

Oh he should play...the worst of it was the broken nose and jaw. It's just how damn stupid can you be?

Great finish to the Finals game last night. Wade was already having a good game and turned it up even more. Reminds me of that Detroit game late in the season where he ripped off 16 straight. Payton's shot was huge, Haslem/Shaq hit from the stripe, and Dirk missed a free throw!?! The guy's 90% on the year and he misses the biggest one of the playoffs. Maybe this series will actually turn out to be interesting.

Yes, Ben Roflburger is stupid. Motorcycle riding should be a standard part of contracts these days.

Meanwhile, in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Hurricanes might be coming down with tight splinchter disease after coughing up game five in overtime at home last night. Now the series goes back to Edmonton with the Oilers infused with new life. Suddenly, this series is actually interesting!

:-)

how in the hell did Miami manage to tie up this series after playing so poorly?

Miami has played pretty good the last two games. It's to be expected when they're at home. Wade has had two monster games, Shaq's put up back to back double-doubles and they've gotten solid contributions from their bench. Meanwhile Dirk looks totally uncomfortable, Josh Howard has gone MIA in the last 5 quarters, Stackhouse can't hit shots and Jason Terry is the only guy doing anything. If your stars don't show up, you won't win a 7 game series, especially against a team at home with its stars playing relatively well.

That said, I still think Dallas will win. It'll just take them 7 games. Dirk will have a better game 5 and will be back to his playoff self when they're back in Dallas. Finals MVP.

How, you ask? Two words: Dwayne Wade. It doesn't hurt that Dallas is doing just a wee bit of choking as evidence by what happened in game four. Whoever wins game five on Sunday wins all the marbles.

The Heat are looking good now. Wade is playing out of this world. Shaq is starting to look more like his old, dominant self. His new free throw shooting technique appears to be working better.

James Posey has been huge too. He's hitting big shots and playing great defense. Everyone on the team that gets siginificant playing time is looking good.

Dallas is looking like the Mavericks of the past few years, choke artists. Dirk is looking BAD over the last few games. Stackhouse being suspended for the next game is going to really hurt them too.

I look for Miami to win in seven.

Well, Dallas had better get their act together or it'll be Miami in six after the Heat won in overtime last night. The Mavs played hard, but again, they couldn't contain or stop D-Wade when it counted. Clearly he's showing the world just how great a player he is.

👍
