Your posts remind me of the Eugenics movements of the 1920s where poor scientific theories made Race synonamous with greateness, and then made to justify horrible crimes against humanity. Have you not learned from history? Japan and Germany thought this and paid an Unimaginable price. Honestly its the absolutely terrifying for me to watch the rise of Nationalism in China, and the ideas of Manifest Destiny of the Chinese race.
China is nowhere near a "better race" because of its achievements. It is a rising power, and it has potential, but in many ways it is like a pubescent teenager that is acting irrationally at times. Post Modern states like the Europe, Canada, Australia Japan and arguably the United States have renounced the use of force for territorial aquisition, but China hasn't. Thretening statements that eminate from China about Taiwan, North Korea, Hong Kong, Tibet, human rights, and other issues make me worry about the future, when the Chinese communist Party might use its superior power to force these issue.
Your comments are indicative of these worries. I believe Japan to be among one of the most respected countries in the world. It has renounced the use of violence to act in the international sphere. The Pacisfism movement is alive and well and has held japan to its post modern roots. Democracy and freedom are alive and well. Where are the demonstrators in Bejing and Tibet?? I think we all know the answers to that.
I believe in human rights as unalienable which each and every person must have and should be protected. I also believe that we as a species must ensure that other people have access to these rights, and that is the only way we may all live in peace and prosperity. I look at how not 20 years ago Europe was divided among itself, at the brink of armageddon, and today the continent is war is completely unthinkable. How was this miracle possible? Because the western world fought for the rights of others, and after the fight was won, we ensured that individuals had these rights. Now Eastern Europe is among the most vibrant economies in the world, and a growing bastion of democracy. Any Country that muzzles its own people, and requires force to keep itself in power is not legitimate in my mind, and is dangerous not towards its own people, but to all of us as a human race.
