I would like to pick up in random some suspicious events that I feel apparently has something to do with the Japanese government.

Unfortunately, this country has a consistent pattern in its conspiracy.

(1) Japan does anything in order to repaint the world history.

(2) In order to erase people's memory on some inconvenient events, the Japanese government often creates some shocking events on the same day. If the inconvenient event has been scheduled beforehand, a shocking event is created on or around the same day. If the inconvenient occurred suddenly, later some shocking events are created almost on the same day, sometimes around the same time in the future.

It is not a easy task to create a event that surpasses some past event. A great amount of work and preparation is needed. Generally speaking, such event may be a disaster or large-scale terrorism.

(3) If an event is predicted at a specific time and at a specific place, a bizarre event is usually created at almost the same time.

(4) The Japanese government believes that few people have found out its conspiracy. But some events have turned out to have been conspiracies.

There would be more conspiracy cases. It is really a surprise that such an event comes out one after another.

ツ?。The day the Japanese government wants to erase from the history
The Gulf War started at 8:38 am on January 17, 1991 according to Japan time. The operation of US-led allied forces with cutting-edge weapons was spectacular. They destroyed Iraqi forces immediately. CNN news occupied Japanese people with live video and reports. The Japanese government was totally marginalized. The world community's concerns toward Japan was only money. Although Japan paid some reasonable money to the world community through the US government, Japan was not appreciated at all. The day was really a disgusting day for the Japanese government.

From the Gulf crisis through The Gulf War, oil prices skyrocketed and hit bitterly the Japan's bubble economy. The US Bush administration demanded Japan's financial contribution and joint action to the war. Japan was thrown into a panic. The Japanese government was confronted by adamant opposition groups and could not get a consensus from the nation. But I think it was simply a gesture.

ツ?。Japan's conspiracies
The Japanese government has repainted the history on January 17 in later years, including its secret revenge.

One year later, several days before the Desert Storm anniversary, the then Japanese Prime Minister Miyazawa invited US President Bush and his wife Mrs. Barbara Bush to Tokyo. It was really a bad journey for the couple. During the dinner party with Japanese politicians, including Miyazawa, President Bush suddenly fell sick. He was rushed to another room. But Miyazawa was unexpectedly clapping his hands, smiling silently. It was really an embarrassing moment. Mrs. Barbara Bush suddenly started some interesting small talks. She had intelligence to save both national leaders.

At that time I watched the scene in the TV news and Miyawaza looked like a monkey clapping the cymbals.

Later it was reported that the president had been infected with flu and had suffered from acute enteritis.

Maybe he ate wrong food at the dinner party.

This event seems to have been a Japan's preemptive punch against the Desert Storm anniversary.

On January 17, 1992, Miyazawa visited South Korea and made a formal apology about Japan's atrocity against comfort women during World War II though he was not demanded by South Korea. South Korea and its people went wild with joy. But the later history has proved that it was simply a lip service. The Japanese government has ignored the formal apology. Now we cannot read any article about it. The aim was to make the headlines on that day's news and to make Japanese mass media ignore the Desert Storm operation one year ago.

The Northridge earthquake occurred on January 17, 1994 at 4:30:55 AM Pacific Standard Time in the city of Los Angeles, California, falling on in 1994.
The earthquake had a "moderate" moment magnitude of 6.7, but the ground acceleration was the highest ever instrumentally recorded in an urban area in North America[1], and it proved to be the most costly earthquake in United States history.

For some American, the day January 17 reminds them of not the Desert Storm Operation but this earthquake.

January 17, 1995
By one of time's revenges(?), on the same day the next year, a big earthquake hit Kobe area.

The Great Hanshin Earthquake disaster (ツ催」ツ神ツ・窶儻ヒ廩窶佚・ツ震ツ催? Hanshin-Awaji Daishinsai?), or Kobe earthquake as it is more commonly known overseas, was an earthquake in Japan that measured 6.9[1] to 7.3[2] on the Richter magnitude scale. It occurred on January 17, 1995 at 5:46:46 a.m. in the southern part of Hyogo Prefecture and lasted for approximately 20 seconds.

The focus of the earthquake was located 16km beneath its epicenter, on the northern end of Awaji Island, 20 km away from the city of Kobe with a population of 1.5 million. This area is in the middle of the fault zone of the Pacific, the Eurasian and the Philippine tectonic plates.

The two earthquakes have one thing in common. Both are particularly shallow earthquakes.

I don't get it. Then again I don't believe most conspiracy theories. It all seems like a bunch of nonsense. As for Amercians not remembering the date of Desert Storm, but the date of an earthquake in Japan, that's just stupid, they don't remember either, most can't even remember what day the Fourth of July is on!

Heck, if it wasn't for online newspapers, I swear I'd forget about this one every year!

You can find our future in the US document.

It was great that the US changed the infamous first-to-invent patent applicatoin to the first-to-application, but this is not because of the Japan's claim, but becasue the world criticised it.
I don't know how many English speaking human right activists in Japan will sue the US govenement who retains non-American biometric info forever.
cherry_cherry, go ahead, though I will just travel as other Japanese do. Sorry for my group-oriented mindset.

Here is an article I wrote on my now defunct blog about conspiracy theories:

Speaking of conspiracies, I met an actual hardcore conspiracy theorist in person for the first time in my life this past weekend. I almost hate to say it, but he even looked the part, with missing teeth, unkempt hair and a certain wild look in his eyes.

He was a nice guy, though, when talking about his wife and two children, or his job as a woodworker here in Japan. It was just when he started talking about politics that he changed dramatically. He is, by the way, an American citizen from the Midwest married to a Japanese national. We met at Jonathon's friend's house when we went to watch the fireworks. He was another guest there.

Talking to this man, it really made me think. He came to Japan ten years ago with his wife, and he didn't speak any Japanese. Naturally he looked for a job where language proficiency wasn't a prerequisite, and I suppose equally naturally, he's still at that same job to this day. Not being able to speak the local language, though, meant that it was extemely difficult to make friends, but even more importantly, to communicate freely at even the most basic level. Even saying something like, "I'm hungry," would be an ordeal.

I imagine his wife speaks English fairly well, but she was apparently more concerned with raising their children than taking care of him. After all, he is a grown man. But take away his home time and work time and most time in-between for real human interaction, and all that's left is his own thoughts.

I'm sure that at first he started out being fairly liberal, but nothing out of the ordinary. Quite like myself, in other words. However, with the help of the internet, little by little, his thoughts began to feed themselves and he turned in on himself. Little by little, little doubts and concerns became this elaborate conspiracy on the highest levels.

Now he is absolutely convinced that a certain elite class is trying to reduce the world's population to one twelfth its current size, and they are putting their long thought-out plans into action, and he's apparently even started some kind of political movement in the USA via the internet.

Was it Kant who said, "No man is an island"? Commit a man to endure nothing but his own thoughts, and those thoughts slowly deform and twist into something unrecognizable. I think it's unfortunately a natural process, but it is a sad thing to see.

*Note*
I was corrected by ex-Jref member osias that it was not Kant, but rather John Donne who said that.

That's how I picture those people. Isolated, with too much time to think and rethink. I just don't think you can order up an earthquake to cover up something.

Certain things have to be taken with a grain of salt, but certain things should not be immediately discounted either. If there's enough evidence to create a reasonable doubt that one thing is not 100% as it seems, it's worth a second look. Creating a reasonable doubt is often what sways a court case, if court cases were thrown out or won simply because something seemed a little improbable or everyone just said 'well thats just preposterous', the prisons would be much fuller than they already are.

That being said, sure there are scientists who serve as our logical collective, our investigative mouthpiece, and often we are right to take what they say as the truth because they're the ones who do all the complicated research. But, personally with the character of the media these days who knows anything about what these scientsts are saying, about their backgrounds or motives, etc. I don't want to hijack this thread but there are larger cases of possible 'conspiracy' that come to mind.

For example theres the AIDS virus. There is a group of scientsts and pathologists who believe the AIDS virus is not actually a real virus. I won't hijack this thread with details you'll have to do your own research, but they have some extremely sound and convincing science behind their theories. The media however has branded them as idiots, weirdos, conspiracists, etc. How is their research to be taken seriously now? I'm not saying AIDS doesn't exist, but I'm saying what we currently believe does not contain the entire truth. The main point is, where is the balanced, rational discussion on the issue?

JFK, to this day 2/3's of the American public still believe something fishy happened there. Again, won't go into detail aside from one salient piece of information, which was that the doctor who did JFK's autopsy had never done one before, and the person who usually handled such things (the government's chief medical inspector of the time) was not consulted. Yet, this under-qualified man served as the scientific stamp of approval, he was the logical mouthpiece. But was he in possession of all the facts and pertinent knowledge? It seems not.

If it hadn't been for the 'weirdos', 'blasphemers' and other undesirable people of the world, the Vatican would still be the most powerful political and spiritual entity on the planet and we may very well still believe the Earth is flat. Enlightement philosophy and challenges to the Christian political machine would have never existed.

We've lost our investigative spirit as humans and explorers and while some things are definitely far-fetched, I fear some things which deserve a more serious look are falling through the cracks.

Most are theories and theories are not fact. (There was a time when I was growing up that we were told that the Japanese were going to try and take over the US and it started with importing Toyotas and buying cattle farms in the west.) I just don't think this particular theory posted has much substance. I would never say all theories are false but most are flawed.

Sounds similar to the conspiracy theorists that actually believe that the Bush administration "allowed" or were involved in "making" the World Trade Center collapse after the 9/11 incident.

I would never say all theories are false but most are flawed.

Scientists the world over struggle with this daily I think, but then that is not a conspiracy now is it?

Yet I agree with you here.:)

I don't go for all this conspiracy stuff. It's fun to think about, and write a few books on, or maybe for running a D20 Modern campaign or World of Darkness game, but in the long run, it's too far-fetched to be real.

Besides, history is full of strange and sick coincidences.

It was sad that Murayama, the socialist PM, could not dispatch our SDF members quickly in the Great Hanshin and Awaji earthquake.
Hope the leader in the coming Tokai or Kanto earthquake will not repeat the things like Murayama.

January 17, 1995

I have already described Great Hanshin earthquake at Japan's conspiracy(2). But this earthquake is often compared with 1923 Great Kanto earthquake in the size and also in their strangeness.

ツ?。Both days are the anniversaries of the past disgusting days that the Japanese government wanted ordinary Japanese to forget.

1. 1923 Great Kanto earthquake September 1, 1923
September 1, 1905 was the day when Japan made a truce with Russia. It was not Japan's real intention. The US intervened in the Russo-Japanese War and put great pressure on Japan to stop the war. Nowadays this day is not a very important day, compared to the ensuing several days. But at that time this day was the day the Japanese army could never forget.

Since 1923, "September 1st", the anniversary of the end of the Russo-Japanese War, became the anniversary of the Great Kanto earthquake.
The end of the Russo-Japanese War disappeared from Japanese history textbooks.

2. Great Hanshin earthquake January 17, 1995

ツ?。 When these earthquakes occurred, there were no de facto leaders of the governments. Such situations seem to have been created intentionally.

1. 1923 Great Kanto earthquake September 1, 1923
There was no Japanese prime minister on that day. Eight days before the earthquake, Prime Minister Tomosaburo Kato suddenly died. He was quite unpopular among the military. He decided to withdraw the Japamese army from Siberia. At that time Japan was adamant to keep its army in Siberia though other allied powers had already withdrew their armies from Siberia. He also accepted disarmament plan demanded by other powers including the US.

You may think that in every WIKIPEDIA the content is exactly the same though written in different languages. But it is not. I have been really surprised that WIKIPEDIA offers different contents both in English and Japanese. So, as you read English WIKIPEDIA, I would like to translate Japanese WIKIPEDIA for clarifying the difference.
----
World War I ended in 1918 and Japan's economy suddenly stopped booming due to the rapid recovery of European economy. The Japanese economy had been hard hit.

Before the earthquake, Prime Minister Tomosaburo Kato suddenly died on August 24. Until the time the earthqake occurred, there had been no prime minister in Japan. It was unclear an acting prime minister was chosen or not. Japan's politics was already in emergency. When the earthquake occurred, a variety of false rumors got around. Some rumors had it that Korean riots were attacking Japanese.

Some army soldiers and military police officers took advantage of the confusion. Some prominent liberalists were killed.
----

2. Great Hanshin earthquake January 17, 1995
This earthquake occurred during the only period when there was no LDP prime minister since the end of World War II. It was fortunate for the LDP and most of the bureaucrats in the governments because they could pass the buck to the Japan Socialist Party. Soon after, the JSP almost collapsed.
<ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E5%9B%BD%E6%AD%B4%E4%BB%A3%E5%86%85%E9%96%A3>

ツ?。 Both earthquakes remind us of artificial erathquake.
Not only the days but also the periods of time were unusual. Both were very shallow earthquakes.

1. 1923 Great Kanto earthquake September 1, 1923
This earthquake occurred just around the noon on that day. Though the epicenter was far from Tokyo, Tokyo was almost destroyed in the ensuing fire.

2. Great Hanshin earthquake January 17, 1995
This earthquake occurred just around the time when the Operation Desert Storm started.

OPERATION DESERT STORM CHRONOLOGY
<.desert-storm.com/War/chronology.html>
First US government statement of Operation Desert-Storm made. Marlin Fitzwater announces, "The liberation of Kuwait has begun..."

The air war started Jan 17 at 2:38 a.m. (local time) or January 16 at 6:38PM EST due to an 8 hour time difference, with an Apache helicopter attack.
(This was the time when bombs were dropped. Strictly speaking the time when Apache helicopters took off was about three hours earlier: around at 0:00 a.m. (local time) or around 6:00 a.m. Japan time.

This earthquake occurred at 5:46 a.m. Japan time.

ツ?。 There was inexcusable negligence from the part of central and local governments in both cases. Fire fighting was insufficient and inappropriate.

1. 1923 Great Kanto earthquake September 1, 1923
More than 100 thousand people were killed. Most of them were be burned to death due to wrong guidance by the army and the police. Many foreigners were killed during the confusion.
<.iii.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~hiroi/index-genzai_no_sigoto-tokyo_chokka_jisin-kantojisin_taiken1.html>

2. Great Hanshin earthquake January 17, 1995
After the earthquake, there was little fire fighting because of lack of water. Far from it, motorcycle gangs drove around the burning sites, impeding fire fighting. Many people were burned alive under the collapsed houses. In addition to that, a few days later, Kansai Electric Power Co. suddenly turned on electricity and caused fires one after another.

ツ?。 In both cases, location and timing seems to have been chosen in political and social convenience.

1. 1923 Great Kanto earthquake September 1, 1923
At that time, Tokyo was already one of the major cities in the world. But its modernization was far behind other major cities such as NewYork and London. Overhaul of Tokyo was as an urgent challenge for the Japanese government. After the earthquake, Tokyo was rapidly modernized.

2. Great Hanshin earthquake January 17, 1995
At that time, Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge was under construction. It had just connected Awaji Island with Honshu Island with its main cable. The fact that this main cable could withstand the earthquake could show off the superbness of Japan's construction technology. The tremors were shallow and occurred in different places. The impact on the suspension bridge that was under construction seemed to be small.

The bridge was designed with a two-hinged stiffening girder system, allowing the structure to withstand winds of 286 kilometres per hour (178 mph), earthquakes measuring to 8.5 on the Richter scale, and harsh sea currents.

1. 1923 Great Kanto earthquake September 1, 1923
After the earthquake, there were controversies about the research to improve earthquake prediction. Some professors argued that Japan should follow Greek earthquake prediction system. But the government finally dismissed the argument.

It is widely known that Greece has an excellent earthquake prediction system. But it is invariably ignored in Japan.

For example theres the AIDS virus.
There IS no AIDS virus! Its HIV... and its HIV that they believe is not a virus, not related to AIDS.
The thing is, when topics like this are discussed, the details are usually technical and very specific, and making mistakes means doesn't help anyone. Take your AIDS example, the main opposition is that HIV is not a virus, and is nothing but an innocent protein that really has nothing to do with AIDS, which is more than likely caused by something else, but noone is willing to look for this other cause, mainly because as you said, they are labled insane and not given any funding.

While I have to admit, cherry has written a wonderful story, it is missing some key points - such as there is no known way to cause earthquakes, even in theory.

Yes you're right, my mistake. AIDS is not a virus I wrote that incorrectly. HIV is a retro virus and the creation of HIV antibodies signals its presence in the body and this supposedly leads to AIDS. As you correctly state, they are not looking for the correct information regarding the connectioin between HIV, AIDS and AIDS related illnesses.

But, on the same note, I don't know if we can then say there is no way to cause earthquakes 'even in theory' since there seems to be a lot of conjecture among conspiracy theorists and independent scientists alike about things such as Scalar waves, Tesla waves, and many other oddities which have not been entirely disproven as simply 'weird science' and/or hoaxes. There appears to be a great deal of science backing these things up in fact. That in my mind creates a reasonable doubt such that it's worth further investigation, as is the case with the strength of the science behind the HIV/AIDS connection.

I don't have time (or the will) to do a full writeup right now, but over half of what you have said is assumptions and details that have still not been explained or scientifically proven. Its one big mess that we are not told about.

True, true

...mumbo jumbo...

This is so true. I can vouch for it myself. For over a century, the Japanese Government has been working on a gargantuan seismic weapon with Nippon Heavy Industries. Unfortunately, the Tokyo earthquake and Kobe earthquake were experiments that backfired in its development but now its been perfected. So any country who is thinking about sending missile in Japan's direction had better think again. It would be obliterated by a massive 9.0 richter scale earthquake.

However, the Japanese government would hate to reveal the existence of such a terrible device so it has also announced that it is working on the development of a laser cannon with the Japan Institute of Science & Technology to shoot down any hostile missiles. This technology is based on the pulse laser theory developed by Dr. Seizo Arakawa. When fully developed the cannon should be able to generate charges of 5.4 gigawatts in bursts of 32 nanoseconds, capable of vaporizing any substance in existence. The government hopes that this technology will lead to the development of phaser weapons and photon torpedoes to launch a new industry in Japan.

In a side development, which may or may not have any bearing to this, JR East and West have decided to try to leapfrog the maglev transport and have invested heavily in producing a warp drive. Although, still in the nascent stage, scientists have been intently studying all Doraemon episodes hoping to get some hint on this matter. I can only wish them the best of luck. Ganbatte kudasai.

For the rest of you, live long and prosper. 😊

Yes I realize your point of view. You're definitely right. I was moreso correcting myself and laying out the 'accepted' theory. My original post was incorrect as far as the 'accepted' theory goes, (i.e. when I said the 'AIDS virus') I think we both agree the whole thing needs far more investigation and attention since the science is not 100% clear on it.

Japan's conspiracy (4)

ツ?。September 11, 2001 attacks

The September 11, 2001 attacks (often referred to as 9/11—pronounced "nine eleven") consisted of a series of coordinated terrorist[1] suicide attacks by Islamic extremists on the United States of America on September 11, 2001.

It is believed that the attacks were originally planned to be executed between March and September 2000[2] but eventually occurred on the morning of September 11, 2001, when nineteen terrorists[3] affiliated with al-Qaeda[4] hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. Each team of hijackers included a trained pilot. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners (United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11) into the World Trade Center in New York City, one plane into each tower (1 WTC and 2 WTC), resulting in the collapse of both buildings soon afterward and irreparable damage to nearby buildings. The hijackers crashed a third airliner (American Airlines Flight 77) into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Passengers and members of the flight crew on the fourth aircraft (United Airlines Flight 93) attempted to retake control of their plane from the hijackers;[5] that plane crashed into a field near the town of Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania. In addition to the 19 hijackers, 2,973 people died; another 24 are missing and presumed dead. The victims were predominantly civilians.

<en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11,_2001_attacks>

In Japan, although this terrorism is occasionally called as "9.11. terrorism", For some time this teroorism was called as "Dojitahatuterojiken" in Japanese or "American Simultaneous Multiple Terrorist Attacks" literally in English. I was always skeptical about the Japanese name of this incident. This name is somewhat confusing.

The reasons were as follows.

1. This Japanese name was never used in Japanese-English translation. This name was particularly used for the Japanese in Japan.

2. This Japanese name was used at unity immediately after the attacks in all news and reports in Japan. Nobody knows who invented this phrase. Different names of this kind of incident are usually created independently, then gradually integrated into a unified name. This Japanese name seemed to have been prepared beforehand.

3. Why intelligible names such as "September 11 Incident" were not used in Japan. Such style of naming is not unfamiliar to Japanese. Two major coup d'etats in the 1930 were called as "May 15 Incident" and "February 26 Incident". There was no reason that this calling style should have been avoided. I felt that the Japanese government wanted its people not to be concerned about the date of this attacks but to remember the victory of terrorism against the US.

4. These attacks were often compared with Attack on Pearl Harbor. But the Attack on Pearl Harbor was never called by the date. Why?

5. Why did the terrorists attack in the early morning? At that time, the US was not on full alert. There was not particular reasons for carrying on these attacks in the early morning. Instead, the disaster would have become more serious if attacks were carried out around noon.

6. Immediately after the terrorist attacks, Chinese President Hu Jintao called President Bush, asking if there were anything he could do for the US. Russian President Putin called President Bush, saying that he didn't mind if the US was on full alert for war. On the other hand, there were few reports about Koizumi's reaction. He was the last leaders of developed nations who visited the ground zero and offered any help. He was marginalized by US mass media and Bush administration.

ツ?。 The Japanese government was the September 11 mastermind. There are so many doubts.

(1) Terrorists intended to keep the "DATE" of these attacks in people's minds and in the world history.

The one thing I immediately wondered was the difference of the naming between the two notorious attacks. Why the terrorist attaks were particularly called by the date, while most other major global incidents were called not by the date but by their particular names. Soon I understood that global incidents are usually difficult to be called by the dates because dates are different according to the time zones. For example, the Attack on Pearl Harbor was carried out on December 8, 1941 in the US, and on December 9, 1941 in Japan. But there are very small hours when the time in the area around the international dateline in the Central Pacific Ocean is at midnight. That means around noon in the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), most areas have the same date around the world.

American Airlines Flight 11, a Boeing 767-200[7] wide-body aircraft, crashed into the northern side of the North Tower of the World Trade Center (WTC) at 8:46:30 a.m. local time (Eastern Daylight Time, 12:46:30 GMT) on September 11, 2001.

For this timing, these attacks can be called by its date throughout the world.

If there had been the mastermind, the mastermind must have been obsessed with a particular date. And the date should have been "September 11". If someone intends to carry out a huge scale incident, the date would be carefully chosen. When I checked the date in the world and Japanese history, I was stunned.

(2) In the video after the September 11, 2001 attacks, Osama bin Laden, the founder of the organization called al-Qaeda, said, "The US that once dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan does not have the right to condemn terrorism." Arab terrorists should not have been concerned about Japanese history. Many people would have been bothered by a feeling of strangeness.

(3) September 11th was the day when Japan virtually surrendered unconditionally to the Allied Powers in 1945.

I checked the Internet web sites that include the day "September 11th" and the information related to the revenge against the US. But the date I could find was only "September 11, 1945". It was really a surprise. I didn't know what happened on that day. Nothing is written in Japanese history books about what happened on that day.

<ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%80%A3%E5%90%88%E5%9B%BD%E8%BB%8D%E6%9C%80%E9%AB%98%E5%8F%B8%E4%BB%A4%E5%AE%98%E7%B7%8F%E5%8F%B8%E4%BB%A4%E9%83%A8>

You may think that World War II ended on August 15, 1945. I thought so, too. But, from August 15 to this day, no Japanese government officials thought that Japan lost the war. Everybody could behave freely as usual. Ministers, officials and generals invited US officials and generals politely to their offices for negotiation for the future.

Still now, August 15 is celebrated not as "the anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II" but as "the anniversary of the end of the war" in Japan.

The official expression "Shusenkinenbi" literally means "the anniversary commemorating the end of the war".

Though it was beyond expectation for every Japanese, Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers Douglas MacArthur suddenly ordered to arrest key 39 Japanese generals and politicians who were designated as Class A War Criminals including Hideki Tojo. Frightened by the assault, some of them tried to kill themselves. Four persons killed themselves. Tojo failed to kill himself. He was injured but he survived. Some others had already committed suicides on August 15.

The day was really "the Day of Betrayal" for the Japanese military. The Allied Powers seemed to arrest nobody. The Headquarters of the Imperial Japanese Army surrendered to the Allied Powers in exchange for the acquittal of all government officials. The September 11 assault was really a betrayal for those arrested.

It is something like the situation in which the police promise the bank robbers who take bank workers hostage not to arrest them in exchange for the release of the hostages and in which the police later arrest them. It may be a betrayal. But the police can't be helped.

(4) During the September 11, rumors had it that some speculators got huge profit in anticipation of the terrorist attacks and ensuing sudden fall of share prices. The US financial authorities called on investors to be cool and later started full-scale investigation. But the result has not been revealed.

(5) The Japanese government continued to be obsessed with the date "September 11th".

Around September 11 2002, most headline news were Koizumi's visit to North Korea. This day the main news was that the government decided to fly the government plane to Pyongyang for the first time in preparation for Koizumi's visit.

Around September 11 2003, most headline news were election for president of the Liberal Democratic Party. But the date had been arranged beforehand.

Around September 11 2004, most headline news were cabinet decision of privatization of the postal system. But the decision-making date had been set by the government. Koizumi visited New York and made a speech in the UN. He spoke nothing about the terrorist attacks in New York. His speech was nothing other than stillborn jokes.

Around September 11 2005, most headline news were Lower House elections, sweeping LDP's victory and privatization of the postal system.

Around September 11 2006, most headline news were presidential elections of both the major ruling LDP and major opposition DPJ. Most people were cynical.

Every year on this day, meaningless events were intentionally created. People forgot the terrorist attacks to some extent.

ツ?。 There is a strong impression on the alliance of Japan, France and Germany.

You may think that, during World War II, France was included in the Allied Powers. But France willingly surrendered to Germany. Hostility against the US and the UK was stronger than that against Germany. Still we always feel such attitude among French politicians. During World War II, in Southeast Asia such as Vietnam and Cambodia, French navy cooperated with Japanese navy and fought the Allied Powers.

These countries seem to follow the same path they once went through in astray.

I felt that the Japanese government wanted its people not to be concerned about the date of this attacks but to remember the victory of terrorism against the US.

I don't care what you felt, but I hope you will not forget Japanese were also the victims there.

Around September 11, it is my mother's birthday.

Japan's Conspiracy (5)

I have suspicion about the cause of the earthquake that took place at 9:42 am on Marc 25 in Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan.

The reason is as follows.

1. The attitude of the Japanese government has been strange for the past several years when earthquakes occurred. I have had suspicion about the cause of earthquakes that took place in Japan since I studied related Japanese history.

2. Some Japanese natural disasters occasionally occur when some influential figures could take advantage of the news to escape from being accused of some critical scandals.

3. Seismological Society of Japan decided to give up studying enhancing earthquake prediction measures, while some other countries were studying it, though they have enough information, data and knowledge.

4. I wonder if there would be a huge amount of old ammunition that should be disposed of in the Self Defense Forces' arsenals. Simply exploding the ammunition would be less costly.

5. Japan can't conduct an underground nuclear test. But it wants to do so. Artificial earthquakes are good experiments for getting critical information with regard to the study of earthquakes as well as tectonic research.

One example of an artificial earthquake in North Korea

<Politics and earthquakes in the past>

1. 1923 (Tokyo) Great Kanto earthquake about 100,000 to 142,000 deaths

It took place during the emergency in the Japanese politics. On the moment, Japan had no prime minister. The prime minister suddenly had died several days before and no new prime minister had not been elected. As far as I know, it is the only occasion in which Japan had no prime minister for days in the Japanese modern history.

Many Koreans were killed during the confusion by the police and the soldiers. Nobody was accused of the killing. Nobody took the responsibility with the atrocities.

2. 1995 (Osaka, Kobe) Great Hanshin earthquake approximately 6,434 dead

Politically, Japan was in emergency at that time for the Liberal Democratic Party, so-called the permanent ruling party since 1955.

At the earthquake, the LDP had not been the ruling party for the past 17 months for the first time since 1955. The LDP was for sure eager to take back the ruling position. Due to the mishandling of the earthquake and other disasters such as Aum cult sarin gas attack in the Tokyo subway, the then ruling Socialist Party lost the field completely. The earthquake was actually good news for the LDP.

As far as I remember, a weekly magazine had predicted the earthquake a week before it took place. Some non-LDP politicians later said that politicians who were at the earthquake site were mostly non-LDP politicians and that they didn't know if LDP politicians had been there when the earthquake had taken place.

Many motorcycle gangs disturbed the rescue operation after the quake. A few days later, fires broke out one after another. The Kansai Electric Power Company suddenly electrified in a large scale although this operation was known to be a critical and dangerous one for many professionals.

Nobody was blamed for the mishandling. There was little information about it.

3. 2004 (Niigata) Chuetsu earthquake 39 dead

It occurred on Saturday October 23 when the US Secretary of State Colin Powell came to Japan to discuss the expenditure on the Iraq War and North Korean issue. This earthquake was timely in a sense for the Japanese government because it didn't want the meeting to be reported widely among the Japanese during the weekend.

4. 2005 Fukuoka earthquake 1 dead

On this day Sunday March 25 the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was to meet the then prime minister Mr. Koizumi in Tokyo. This earthquake was again timely in a sense for the Japanese government because it didn't want the meeting to be reported widely among the Japanese during the weekend.

This time, I was convinced that something was strange.

5. 2007 Noto earthquake 1 dead

This earthquake took place again in the weekend. It occurred on Sunday March 25.

But, this time, things were unusual.

I had been intimidated by a posting predicting an earthquake on the Yahoo Message Board on Friday.

There was another intimidation predicting an assassination against me on Saturday.

Then I believed that an earthquake would really occur. I tried to post my opinion there but I couldn't. I had not enough time to collect relevant information and translate it into English.

Now, lately enough, I am writing.

But the unusual things didn't stop there.

On Friday Prime Minister Abe met Iraqi Vice-President Tariq al-Hashemi in Tokyo. Abe promised Japan's Self Defense Forces' operation for another 2 years in Iraq.

On the day of the earthquake there was a meeting with Iraqi influential politicians on that issue in Tokyo.

This earthquake was again timely in a sense for the Japanese government because it didn't want the meeting to be reported widely among the Japanese during the weekend. This time the US congress was demanding the US army's withdrawal from Iraq.

Again, the unusual things didn't stop there.

There might have been some preparations for the earthquake.

Nearby Shiga Nuclear Power Plant had been shut down only a few days before the earthquake. For the past a few weeks, nuclear scandals suddenly broke one after another throughout Japan.

This was a very timely incident. If the earthquake had been created artificially, it had been known that nearby operating nuclear facilities were very dangerous. And it had been thought that shutting down only the nearby nuclear power plant was suspicious.
Now that fabrication is order of the day here, I can't be gullible enough.

Japan's Conspiracy (6)

ツ?。Yasukuni Shrine and Religions in Japan

(1) Catholic Churches

There has been no clear opposition gainst the war shrine worship. Instead, the Vatican recommends the faithful to visit Yasukuni Shrine. In the 1960s, the Vatican allowed the faithful to attend other religious ceremonies in Japan.

But, in the 1930s, the Vatican's attitude toward Yasukuni visit was outrageous. But, there was a good reason for that.

The Vatican became an independent country within Italy thanks to Benito Mussolini on February 11, 1929.

On this day Japan also celebrated its own foundation because this day was also Japan's most important national holiday, the National Foundation Day..

Benito Mussolini was Japan's passionate and persistent friend. Both countries were fascist states.

Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini seemed to have been supported secretly by Japan. It was not difficult for a crazy country to spread secret money to such crazy figures and to make them climb the political ladder to the national leader.

The Vatican had no way other than to allow Japanese christians to visit Yasukuni shrine.

In 1922, Benito Mussolini became the prime minister.

In 1929, Benito Mussolini recognized the independence of Vatican City.

In 1939, World War II broke out.

In 1940, the Tripartite Treaty was signed by Germany, Italy and Japan.

<cbcj.catholic.jp/eng/jcn/apr2006.htm>

In the 1930s, at a time when militarists had taken control of the Japanese government and society, Catholics in Japan faced a problem. Children had to go to Shinto shrines as part of their school activities. In September 1932, Archbishop Jean-Baptiste-Alexis Chambon of Tokyo asked the Ministry of Education to clarify whether or not such visits were religious. A week after the archbishop sent his letter, a response came saying such visits were a manifestation of patriotism and loyalty, not a religious activity.

Based on that, Cardinal Pietro Fumasoni Biondi, prefect of "Propaganda"(now the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples) in Rome, sent word to Japan in May 1936 indicating that since visits to Shinto shrines were not religious activities, Catholics were allowed to make such visits.

After Japan's defeat in 1945, the U.S. occupation authorities ordered the denationalization of Shinto shrines, including Yasukuni. Thereafter, they were to be religious entities. At the first post-war gathering of Japan's bishops in May 1946, the bishops decreed that Catholics henceforth were not allowed to go to shrines in either a private or a public capacity.

In the 1960s, Japanese Catholic churches allowed the faithful to visit other religious organizations such as Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.

ツ?ヲTheses facts are surprising facts for me. I have never heard or read these facts. But, for many years, I have been skeptical about Japanese christians' attitude. They are mostly from rich families such as doctors, lawyers and professors. They are usually the bastion of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and also Yasukuni Shrine.

Now I understand to the full.

That's too true Goldie girl however I just disagree with the fourth of July since it's become a very marketable day with all the patortism and whatnot. Especially since the neocons have come into power and all. They're very big on patortism so I don't think they'll let people forget July 4th but everything else you're right on with. American and history just aren't great whether their own or other country's but especially other country's. I also highly doubt Americans would remember some earthquake in Japan unless it was something really really bad.
