Japanese

Well, apart for the fact that i want to know a lot of things about Japan, my main thing is that i want to learn Japanese. I simply love this language and i hope you can help me with this not easy task. :-)

There are many who can help, but it will take some time and some work...please check out the Learning Japanese sub-fora, and keep up the good work !!

I intend to go to Japan one day, but first I want to learn the language good enough to be able to survive. Right now I know about a dozen words - I don't think I'd be able to get anything done that way ;-)

Hello. Although I've traveled to France and India, I have yet to go to Japan. I'm confident I'll be able to go someday soon though.

I'd love to go Japan!! ^^
I'm planning to go there next summer to learn Japanese
I really hope that I go! o(>.<)o

I live in the United States and I've never been to Japan, but intend on going.
Actually, I'm going to Japan on a homestay trip three weeks from Thursday.
I'm a bit nervous, but I've studied Japanese for about 5 years...so I should be okay?

I'm Brazilian Japanese and last January I went to Japan with the family (father, younger brother, an aunt and grandmother) for a 20-day trip that definitely lived up to my expectations. We stayed at my aunt's house at Chiba and visited Tokyo, Yokohama, Hiroshima, Kyoto , Kobe, Kamakura and Kagoshima. The Japan Rail Pass was really handy and economical.

I loved all places, especially Tokyo, Kyoto and Kamakura, but I was particulary thrilled to visit Bounotsu, in Kagoshima, which is the village where my greatgrandparents and grandmother on my father's side came from. We met old relatives there and no words can describe the experience of going back to the place my greatgrandparents and grandmother left decades ago in search of prosperity overseas and to which they couldn't manage to return as World War II broke out and life took a different path.

Oh, and in Japan I saw the snow for the first time and it certainly is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, literally! Especially when it was falling at Kiyomizu, in Kyoto... that was a magnificent view.

I really thank god for having had the chance to do such a wonderful trip and hope to go back to Japan someday not only for tourism, but also to improve my Japanese in some language course and maybe do postgraduate studies on international cooperation.

I'm Japanese-Brazilian, my parents are from Osaka!
I used to live there when I was a child.

:D

I've wanted to go since I was around nine(Which isn't really that long ago), because I started watching anime around that year. I always loved how detailed and cute it was. Then I eventually started drawing (badly) and reading Manga and listening to Ayumi and Dir en Grey... 😊 If I ever DO go, I want to learn the language first. Mum says I can go if I can..."Find someone who will want to do an exchange or something with you when you're in high school. I'll let you go." So I've been searching for penpals. I have yet to find one... :?

I've never been to Japan but I'm planing to go there. I always liked Japan and especially Tokyo because I really love overcrowded places and because I love Japanese music. Tokyo is very futurist. I saw many YouTube videos about Tokyo and always dreamed to go there in my life (and maybe for living, who knows?). I still have all my life to go in Japan because I'm only 16 years old. I would like to learn Japanese language but I'm learning English right now and I don't want to learn two languages at the same time.

Where do you live ? Have you been to Japan ? How many times, how long ?
I 've been living in Japan for almost one year now.

I live in UAE👍

No but i hope i can visit it one day :(

What and where do you wish to be studying?

I hope you make it there. Living there even for a relatively short period is a great experience!

Same for everybody who hasn't been there yet!
I hope you get to go there!

🌹

I've been there twice, going for a third time later this summer. I hope to live there someday. I know I'm going to regret this post, because people seem to like to stomp all over my dreams.

We're in the same boat with that dream! They stomp on your's, they stomp on mine!
Let's get 'em! 👍

You look about my age, so I think I can trust you.

Seems like everyone's just looking down their nose at me these days, and anything I say incriminates me. Sometimes I feel like I'd be doing the world a favor if I just rubbed myself out... if the world wants to reject me, then so be it.
