I think it has drawbacks and strengths. The iconic Naruto run is based on a real Japanese way of running, typically used by ninjas to increase efficiency while carrying swords and other weaponry, I forget what it's called, Namba, or something like that. Thats the strength (if you can even call it that). Studies have shown it actually decreases your speed by as much as 3%. Thats the drawback. I suppose another strength is that if someone is shooting at you, you could duck and decrease your target size if you do the run and just bend your back more than you're supposed to. But you would only really use that in America, probably in LA or some town overridden by crime. And even then you would be focusing more on cover and probably be pulling out your OWN gun and shooting back.
