I'm not qualified to comment on New Pakistan, I can however make a note of the not insignificant Polish minority (i've heard 13%, in a country of 6~ million and am inclined to believe it) that has taken to Scotland like our own diaspora did to the Americas and New Zealand. The result has been largely positive, in that the masses of unemployable Scots have remained so, but the positions the government wants them to fill have been taken over by fairly forward thinking Poles. The side effects, besides having a new contender for nationally sanction secondary language, are largely unnoticeable, as we've been violently sectarian in near everything from the start of recorded history, and the influx of post iron curtain catholics & protestants just makes it more fun.
So in my wee opinion, the problem is that brits (englishmen) are watching globalisation happen, and finding a good scapegoat in the immigrant population who insist on being so intolerably foreign, not any real slight that they didn't have coming anyway.
France is apparently a very different problem, but its not my problem.
As for the topic at hand, i'm inclined, to say that any attempt to even partially mechanise Japan's service/care industries will only make the problem worsein the medium to long term. In the medium view because some form of bureaucratic oversight(with all that that means) will have to be conjured to watch over the machines which have e.g. direct access to someone's house and can be haxx0r3d to leave the doors open for example, and in the long term because, assuming they work/are accepted, there is even less incentive to start a family now that post retirement provision can be reduced entirely to insert money; receive bacon by a generation that grew up wanting this state of affairs.
Industrial automation was necessary for competition, commercial automation could be the killer for a introverted traditionalist culture.
Thats my tech centric view of things, theres easily another ten thousand factors commanding thirty thousand free radicals that will throw any prognostication far off course
from agricultural stability through Power generation problems to worsening the urban-rural split.
