I'm Japanese. I hate current Japan. Because very hard to living in Japan more than before.
Many company stop employing drop out guys. Only new graduate. I failed sellecting company when I was new graduate. I worked AM8:00-PM11:30 everyday.
I dorped out that company. So job change is very very hard...
Now many guys are worried on business. And 30,000 people commit suicide every year. This is current Japanese real style.
Do you love your country?

I believe you when you say that life in Japan is not so easy at the moment. I read several Japanese newspapers online (internet) every morning. But I guess that the whole world is a little out of balance at the moment.

My daughter is a lawyer, my son an illustrator, they both have contracts. But now our government is talking about "giving the employers more space to dismiss their emplyees". That means that also the Dutch can easly lose their jobs.

You know torihada, all the young people all over the world are in the same boat. I am very sorry about this.
I wish you lots of luck with finding a new job as soon as possible!

Let's not forget the element of personal responsibility here.

You selected your company/profession. You failed in the choice or in researching the working hours/conditions. Don't blame the country for that.

Thanks mate. I found new job and working for 7 months. Indeed finding job was very hard.

I got fine when reading your Sentences.

People become ''poverty of mind'' if they have dark Feelings always. We must have ''positive feelings''.
This way is enjoying life. I think so.

I understand how you currently feel about your job frustration. But you have to realize that the nature and pace is pretty much the same in major cities all over the world - especially financial centers in East Asia.

And I think it is best to direct that sentiment to just your old company rather than channeling it towards the country and culture.

I know a number of Japanese who have come through my English language center who hated their jobs in Japan and decided to make a go of it in the United States. Considering that we value experience and education highly, many of them have enrolled for Masters in Business Administration and found jobs in the U.S. that they are more satisfied with. I do, however, know a few people who hated it here and returned to Japan, so take that into consideration, please, as well.

Generally, we have a very laissez faire approach to work in the United States. Since many employers can dismiss you at will, many workers are only as loyal as their companies are in return. Labor is a commodity (ECON 101, baby), and employers know that. They also know, however, that it is a commodity in some level of abundance so you must be competitive.

However, the system is quite different in the United States than Japan. You might want to try getting a job working for a Japanese company through their U.S. divisions. But in the end it is up to you.

I'd also be careful, though. I have a feeling the U.S. is headed for a major recession in the next decade, but that's just me. And if you don't come here, but rather stay in Japan or go to another country, I wish you luck, regardless of what you choose.

This is not a time to make sad feelings in ourselves, i'm also very desperate, i just recently found that im the only young japanese guy in entire Belgium! <18 because every japanese person here is around the 20 or +40 this means i can't find a friend or a galfriend of japanese roots

its also hurts me that the japan i used to dream of is passing away, belgium doesn't give the oppurtunity to diamont cutters (since i live in the capitol of diamond sector antwerp, belgium) they want to move the whole case to other countries eg Portugal, South-Africa, india etc... Belgium is no longer a country where i can work, and as someone told me if I go to japan then i have to become Teacher in English cause with my diploma's i can't reach the top, but in philippines i can build my own house and i could open my own business (something thats hasn't got to do with diamonds) maybe a ramen shop? a japanese videogame store? a movieshop? i dunno but for young people it isn't also easy these days.

everyone has his own stories and it would be better we all sit and listened to each other.
