yes that's a good advice too.. you can also use gradients or change the colouring of the pic by pressing ctrl+b, you can also use ctrl+u (photoshop only )

here are two more avas and one signature...I have three versions of that one ava (since it was requested by hitsugi-love...and I just made three ^^...and the signature is a little bit bigger (400 x 100), but I just couldn't resist )
