is there a limit in japan?

hi guys

is it true that you can only go 2 times in one year in japan for sightseing?
i staid 90 days, came back to my country and than i went back for another 90 days. i am planning to go back will there be any kind of problems?

There may be problems. Allowing a person into the country is always at the discretion of the Immigration officer at the airport, as you know.

It is possible they will find your frequently repeated long holidays in Japan to be an abuse of the tourist visa and an attempt to "live" here without going through the procedures for a proper visa. If that is indeed what you are doing, you're not the first person who thinks he has discovered a loophole in immigration law/policy.....and you wouldn't be the first person Immigration has refused entry to Japan because of it.

I think they consider 180 days more than ample time to "sightsee". After that, they start to become suspicious of your motives and activities.

Yes they can see how often you have been there, as there is a digital record. However, you will now have a student visa I imagine in order to go to school, and that being the case there isn't anything you should worry about. Your previous trips to Japan will already have been scrutinised by immigration prior to granting your student visa, so you shouldn't be hassled about it again.
