Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 3

Omg Change Outta Auto!

automatic will only slow u down, u need to learn when to shift so its best to stick with manual. Also with the S2000, u want to go into the turn slower then u would a 5 spd, and let ur accleration pick up earlier on in the turn. Also u have to try to minimize the amount of distance u travel, so try to hug the walls as much as possbile on those big turns, sharp ones, try to faint to the opposite direction before u make ur sharp turn. The inertia drift is a must for the S2000 to take some of the turns as fast as a 5 spd. Same thing kind of goes with the sylvia, just it doesnt oversteer as much, so u have to try to take the turns even slower.

Yeh I almost got it, almost done with the game..... I have Happo, shomaru and tsushisaka left, silvia is a great car..

You know, you should beat the game three times

You get a racer lvl for each stage u complete, but u get another one once u finish all of them. Then you get another racer lvl, for completeing all the lvls again. Meaning u get one for beating all the courses the second and third time around. After that u dont get anymore racer lvls. Next you want to work on bunta. Each time u beat all of the courses you get another racer lvl. So u can get 15 racer lvls from bunta. Once u can get 5 stars on every course, then you can say you can drive your car 👍 because the arcade ppl are really easy, you can mess up several times really bad and still beat them.

Thanks for the tips Noire. I've just completed my S2000's custumization B with 120 000 pts and now when I earn more pts, they ask me if I want to change parts and those parts are from customization C. Can you tell me how does it work? Like with I choose yes to change something, does it take some of my pts for the change? And can I get my old part back? If yes how does it work.

Hi again. I started to play manuel more and more and I had a problem about when to shift up and when to shift down. Can you guys tell me when should I shift up or down?

Usually I`m using 5 in 4 out method with my BNR34 just for entering sharp corner such as hairpin and it`s works well making around 120-130 km/h speed(not always happen though)

for the other medium turn just do a little braking besides that it has nothing to worry about

"anyone here play initial d: street stage (PSP)??"

i have played it. bought a psp for it, and hopefully can find a reasonable priced used version if i can make it to tgs

S2000 Ftw

for advise on the S2000, u want to pretty much stay in whatever gear ur in, and before u come to the turn, either do one of the follow, try it on the turns ur not sure of to get a better effect. you can downshift if its a steep turn, then turn early and acclerate coming out. If its not so sharp, u can stay in the 6th gear and brake before the turn to slow u down enough, then turn in 6th gear and shift down to 5th as soon as u start to acclerate from out of the turn. well i guess AFTER u hit the gas, u should downshift. Stayin the 6th gear makes it so u dont lose as much speed while ur not gassing it. Plus if u are too fast, it will slow u down dramatically, which i find usally throws off the balance of the car in a turn. pretty much, try to stay in the highest gear possible. I RARELY go into 4th. i think iro is the only course i actually go into fourth and maybe akina too...but im trying to find a way to stay in 5th and take the hairpins....and getting close 😊 anyways, mix the two way together when ur racing to see which way makes u take the turn better. but remember, try not to downshift while turning with ur foot off the gas. either keep ur wheel straight when downshifting, or ds while ur coming out of the turn with ur foot on the gas.

Ok so this is what I got:

I have an RX-8, Im not extremely good yet but I've been playing for about nearly two years. Im hearing that the Subaru Impreza WRX Type R GC8V (Bunta's car) is a good choice to make overall. But then again I hear that my RX-8 is a fine choice.

And also my friend told be to do this 'cheat' to get Bunta's Car?... Bunch of shifting up and down, breaking and stuff when buying a car. I haven't tried it yet don't play on doing so but does that work and when they say 'Bunta's Car' does it mean fully tuned? Or just the car itself?...

I live in the Yokosuka Area in japan and I play a Japanese version of IDV3 so yeah. Please resond thanks!

Id Turning Lvls

guys im kinda noob in dis. i was wondering which number in the turning is better? do you guys generally play with lower nos like 2-4 or play with the higher values like 7-8 etc. and can someone tell me what the other changes in option are? like the display simple or complex what other ones are there? plz tell me coz the machine that i go to is in jap and i dont have a clue about the changes apart from the steering lvls and the display

Thanks

@bullseye
yes the rx-7 type R (FD3S) is a good car ^^ just be careful about hitting the walls because the boost lag can be a real bummer (especially for option B); but otherwise, it's a pretty good car. i'm gonna get one myself when IDAS (ver.4) comes out ^^

@P.R X01A
i'd suggest the trueno

@Konker123
the s2000 is pretty good in usui. its top speed is pretty good and since it is an FR, it drifts pretty nicely ^^ the 1st usual technique is to shift down before you reach the turn, brake, release and accelerate (shift up) as necessary. the 2nd technique is to brake while taking the turn and then downshifting when you reach the apex - both are "slow in, fast out" techniques but like Noire said, just experiment which technique works for you :)i can also suggest practicing the "eraser" - shifting down, then quickly back up (you should hear a short "t'ks-like" sound) WHILE TURNING; this will initiate a drift, so you can take the turn without losing speed. try it on usui counter-clockwise, on the 1st lap, 1st turn and C-121.
(re: startup shifting)
try shifting to the gear at the given rpm:
2nd = 6000
3rd = 6200
4th = 6750 or 7000
5th = 7200
6th = 160+ on myogi; 155+ on usui; 144+ on akagi, akina, tsuchisaka; 130+ on irohazaka, akina snow; 135+ on happogahara; 105+ on snomaru
(re: parts & points)
yes it will take off points - you should be able to see how much at the lower right. you can get your old part back but it's a bit random and as far as i know, you'll get it more often if you do a lot of time attacks and battles.

@PinoyHustler
(re: Bunta car)
it's just the car ^^ there are no tuning options, though, just N-tune or normal tune. it is, however, one of the best cars to use in wet conditions.
(re: RX-8)
yes the RX-8 is a pretty good car, both in dry and wet conditions ^^ unfortunately i don't have one so i'm unable to recommend which option to choose or parts to buy :P

@N0_NAM3
the number doesn't really affect the car's turning but the higher the value, the harder it is for you to turn the wheel. so it's really just your feel or preference how much resistance you'd want :) presonally, i prefer the simple display because i'm not distracted by the numbers and i get a somewhat larger view of the screen ^^

I haven't posted in JRef for ages now, since my last post my Trueno has hit full tune, on 230,000 points now, Racer Level 6, and three more areas to finish (Shoumaru (2), Tsuchisaka (2) and Irohazaka (1)).

@brodiepearce
actually "full tune" is when you the car doesn't get tuned anymore (no more upgrades), and that's around 990K points - reaching 120K points finishes your "basic tuning" :-)

----------

does anyone have news about "version 4?" i saw from a video on youtube that it'll be coming out by november... 😭

I'm quite new to d game and ive only playd for a month..
My Cars are Trueno op.A, GC8V and an EVO4 op.A.. All are basic tuned..

I'm planning to get another good FR car but i'm having trouble picking..
I'm choosing between RX-7 Spirit, S13 and Sileighty.. :sick:
Sumbdy help me.. Please!!

I'm currently training with my Trueno, but I accidentally installed a
wrong rim after the basic tune.. :(
Can I change it back to the previous one?
Thanx!! ;o)

if you're choosing among the three that you've mentioned, i suggest the RX-7 - a better all-around car. the S13, and of course the sil80, dominate on usui. i guess the other courses they're ok are: akagi, akina, iro, happo (?), shomaru - quite drifty on tsuchi.

yes you can get back the previous rim. just keep on playing :) so far i've noticed you get prompted for parts more often if you do time attacks.

Oh.. Thanx a lot!

But a friend of mine told me that the FC is better and more balanced than the RX-7 Spirit even though the FD Spirit is ranked higher than the FC..
Is it true?

I think the RX-8..
B'coz it's ranked no.1 in dry and it's 6 gears so it's quite fast.. But u need to get the hang of using 6 gears..
Coz in my case, im having trouble using 6 gear cars..
Im confused on which gear to shift down on hairpins coz im used to 5 gears only.. :auch:
And also bunta's car(GC8V)..
Even though it's only normal tune and doesn't have tuning options, it's still a very good car, especially on wet coz it's a 4WD..

Thanx alot.....:-)

I am now playing the IDv3......

I hav 3 car :

1)Honda Intergra DC2(Main)
2)EvoIV(Second Best)
3)Skyline GTR.......

All My cars r Fully Tune

May I ask is Celica(ST205) good?

@Kenji93
full-tuned or basic tuned? basic tuned is getting all parts for the option you selected - 120,000 points; your car is full-tuned if you don't get anymore upgrades, that's approx. 990,000 points

there is actually no "best car" in - it's all in the driver's skill. a classic example is my friend: back in version 2, he drove an AE85 - probably one of the crappiest cars in the game ever. he had difficulty beating time attacks but he was very formidable in battle; and he managed to get it to battle level 25 (i believe) before he changed to a GC8V.

a word of advice: scrap the DC2 and focus on the evo4 - it's a better all-around car (aside from happogahara, the only other course it's amazingly good at is akina snow). an R32 has power, that's for sure but the only other courses that it's good at are myogi (of course), akina snow and shomaru. the celica's ok - not bad but not so good, either; akina snow car, like what the trueno is to akina downhill (i say downhill because the evo3 is still better uphill - just take akagi uphill, for example)

@Nanar (re: FC vs FD)
personally i like the FC better because it's lighter and has better startup - plus i have one hehe. the FD, on the other hand, has more power, better acceleration and (if i'm not mistaken) higher top speed. otherwise, it's purely what you prefer.

the RX-8's good but a novice might find it hard to manoeuvre... i'd suggest the GC8V as well - practically good in all courses and conditions ^_^

Thanx...For The Advice CerberaLM

I Like Suzuki Cupucino...........
which track is the car good at??

Pls Help Me.........TQ👍

@Kenji93 (re: cappuccino)
surprisingly you can get pretty good times on myogi, akina... not sure for the other courses as it is a pretty drifty car (it can corner well on usui and since it is a small car, it can manoeuvre nicely on shomaru) - quite bad on wet, snow, of course, and tsuchisaka (regardless if it's dry)
