360, Revolution and the Playstation 3.

PS3 power !

The next generation consoles are GREAT!The PS3 can have so many players(I heard up to 7!) with wireless controlers.I guess Sony has succeded in showing playstation fans the true power a game console can have : as far as I know the Wii graphics are not as powerful and the xbox 360 doesn't have much to offer ( beside the graphical improvement nothing is added to the xbox).I think the PS3 will snatch the first place this time !
BTW I heard that Wii is another way to write We.... not sure .

I think Sony will win this round too, but Nintendo will be closer than before. Well, XBOX...for PC fans, nothing more to say. Microsoft, even wanting to do a console close to the japanese market, it won't, since an american company can't do what Japanese ones do, it's impossible, even having all money in the earth. for XBOX to be good to non-american market, it simply doesn't have to be Microsoft brand.

I'm not an X-Box fan. My friends are though. I personally am drooling over the PS3 and Wii.

Although I wish the PS3 didn't quite have to cost so much, I'm definitely getting that and the Nintendo Wii once they're out on the market. After all of this waiting and the building up these systems have been having, I would never be satisfied if I didn't get to enjoy them.

Sony disappoints this time

I used to be a loyal fan of Sony's Playstation1&2. I also was looking forward to get a PS3 when I saw the amazing video of Killzone and Tekken 6. However, at the E3 and GC 2006, it was clear that Sony was only bluffing. Many promises, expensive price and even delayed release.

The XBOX360's games and especially the first wave of games weren't really revolutionary. But at least the dashboard design and how it works was really something new and finally a good design (remember the ugly black XBOX1).

With games like Oblivion, Ghost Recon and Prey, it showed that it could even with high-end PC, but still not really next-gen. With Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas, we finally have games with next-generation graphics even if you play it without HD-quality. The ingame graphics are amazing, reaching CGmovie graphics.

The PS3 will do good in Asia, because of the kind of games but less because of graphic power. Although the PS3 is stronger at specs, it is also more difficult to program, which means longer programming time of a game.
In Europe and the US, Sony has lost many old customers because they changed sites. The richer gamers will of course buy all 3 platforms.

Most XBOX360 owners I know would like to have a Wii as their additional gaming console because of the unique gaming control. The PS3 might be purchased when it becomes cheaper than 300 US$ but that won't happen so soon here.

you are wrong, because I was thinking the same way when I looked down at the XBOX360. In reality, it is the console which I spend most time. It makes you addictive. I'm not a hardcore fan of a specific brand. IMO it doesn't matter whether a console is from Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo (Sega R.I.P.), but what matters is whether you have fun with it.
Only because a game console is not from Japan means it is not good enough?
If you say so, I could also do the statement that any car that is not from Germany is not good enough.

Has anyone here tried the XBOX 360 and the PS3? If so, how would you compare them?

If you've tried the PS3. Have you had any problems with it?

That´s the way to think, its more fun when a game it´s fun :-)
because of that i buy a nintendo Wii, have poor graphics and a less adult games, but you remember contra or ninja gaiden the both are fun and originaly for nes and doesn´t mean a great graphics or so much blood and gore, well im nostalgic now :( .......

That's what I meant. It is nonsense to act like a fanboy of a specific brand. I mean, just buy the video game system you like, and it should be always because of the games not because it is from a specific company.
Some people always stay loyal to only one company, but there is no point to do so, unless you get sponsored/paid by them.
But IMO PS3 and XBOX360 have much more in common, because they both are next-gen consoles in terms of power and menu-design.
In terms of gaming method, however, it is the Wii which is revolutionary.

You guys would be right if games were actually different between the consoles, however it's not the case. I'm not trying to defend any brand but in reality the PS2 games covered the same games as the XBOX and hundreds more... and I believe it's the same for the PS3, so when I look at a brand of consoles I rather consider the specialities of the consoles and let's admit it, the PS3's more powerful than the other consoles, so I'll go with it ...

hahaha i don´t think so, because halo it´s the more important game of microsoft (and the only one) if halo was taked to ps3, xbox will be nothing (well some games can defend it) and they will dispear...........
