Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 3

Here are my times

On Shomaru i have a 3:10, on Tysu I have a 3:42 and on Iro i have a 3:08. Keep in mind this is all with an AE86.lol I have only been playing for 7 and a half months now.lol on akina my time dry is 3:00 I know that i can def hit the 2:55 barrier when i know the turning points better. On myogi I have a 2:55 that course is alot of fun but it involves alot of line stratergies, right now i have 2.1 million points, I just recently started playing people, I is so much more fun. you can mess with their heads.lol i am level 12 right now. I have level 13 bunta on myogi its getting pretty hard, and i have level 10 on every other level up too shomaru pass.

To White Comet

How long has bunta legned been playing?
I have been playing for around 8 months, my crap time is 3:08 on iro
my fastest time is on akina with is 3:00 I know that i can get in the 2:55 range or even the 2:54 range my car is the AE86 for me It is an awesome all around car and it have 2.1 million points on it.

Fresh Start?

Hey, I'm thinking of getting another car (my current driver is a Nissan Silvia S14, Im stuck on one of either Akina or Agaki - the harder one, i can never remember - versus RY in the RX-7). Should i just stick with it? I probably could use practice and just got the increased stress resistance upgrade, too. What does that do?

Anyway, i can't decide between the AE86 (trueno or Levin?!?!?!?) and the RX7 (spirit R or type R?!?!?!?) :p i don't know which one to pick, and which variations to use, and which tuning options.

Any help appreciated! 👍

sounds like Akina if it's Ry...

anyway, the S14 is a bit of an underdog car as not many people use it but it has a pretty good startup for a 5-gear car (kinda like an FC), if i'm not mistaken. that's an advantage in itself so you just need to maintain your lead once you're first off the start :-)

re: car
personally, i've got an option B FD type-R and the only problem i have w/ it is the boost lag especially if i hit the wall -__- but a lot swear that the spirit is better so i could suggest trying that out first, get a feel of the handling, speed etc. do you go for looks (i do lol)? performance? speed? handling? it's really up to you... :-)

Thanks!!

Thanks so much, ill keep practising 👍 yeah, i can stay ahead until the last quarter of the race (im not good at blocking :p)

hi there!! im addicted 2 initial d ver3!! anyone from sydney!! my car is a battle lvl15 honda Integra dc2!!!

i think you'd better go to ausgaming.org there're a lot ppl from sydney there

I was recently down to one last battle in story battles, it was Bunta on Tsuchisaka, I lost, and it reset all my battles o.O.

So now I have a 420,000 point AE86 Trueno, with 4 completed story battles, and Level 12 racer level. lol

hey guys! I have an Evo IV. Do you guys know what mufflers and rear spoilers r the best for the Evo IV?

I think i have the rear spoiler that was offered to me first and then they offeref a second one but i dint know which one was better so i didnt take it and then i took the first muffler offered to me and then i changed it the second muffler offered to me which i recognized as mitsubishi motors muffler.

what option did you choose? go w/ option A on the next inspection if you chose other than that...

as for the spoilers and mags, so far the best i can suggest is the mitsubishi spoiler (kinda like the base spoiler for option A but w/o the light) and white 6-spoke volk mags, good for dry and wet; the bronze 6-spoke is good in wet but can sometimes experience wheel locks on dry...

Hoorah! :)

I finally beat Ry!! YAY!! I finally figured out how to NOT hit the wall I kept messing up before... (the decreasing radius corner). Now, how can i beat Tak? I just need to either block better or pass him in the hairpins...any advice? :p

how to beat takumi on akina...

hmm... well if you've beaten ry then you'll eventually beat takumi 👍

same principle: just keep it clean - try not to hit the walls; "slow in, fast out" on taking turns

try shifting down after you've cleared the turn instead of shifting down as you're approaching it. you can do this on most sharp turns like the first right, the hairpin just after the 1st checkpoint, the very sharp right just before the 2nd checkpoint and the big wide left after...

aim for these speeds:
125-130 on the first right, the left after that, the 1st hairpin right after the 1st checkpoint... 135-140 on the very sharp right just before the 2nd checkpoint and the big wide left after...

try to get as close to the apex as you can as you make the turn but of course make sure not to hit it as well :D

try to get as close to the apex as you can as you make the turn but of course make sure not to hit it as well :D

Yeah, get too close and the gutter will suck you in. :D If you can master the gutter than all the better!

Played ID4 for the first time today... have to say I'm a little disappointed with the new engine, although I think the improved graphics and mapping make up for it. Why oh why did they remove Tsuchisaka, Shoumaru and Happogahara though! :O :(

need help with RX-8

hello everyone!! i just got a new car the RX-8. I'm not familiar with a 6-gear car. can anyone tells me the shift points and other tips? whats the best map for the Evo IV?

@brodiepearce
i'm not too sad w/ them taking out shomaru but happogahara?! that course's been there since version1! and yeah, tsuchisaka's one good course... *sigh* :(

@evoIV
re: best course for evo4
irohazaka

re: rx-8 shift points (in rpm unless otherwise stated)
2nd - 6000
3rd - 6200
4th - 6800
5th - 7000/7200
6th - depends on the course...
myogi: 160+kph
usui: 155kph
akagi/akina: 143+kph
iro: 118-120kph
happo/tsuchisaka: 138+kph
shomaru: 104+kph

these are just rough estimates i'm running off the top of my head so i'm not 100% sure... :P

best tuning options help

thanx for the help

i have a question about the tuning options though. Do you guys know wats the best tuning options for all the cars if not please list the ones you know. I mainly want to know the best option for these cars though:

EvoIII, IV, V, VI
Cappucino
RX-8
all RX-7s
trueno
Bunta's car
BNR32
BNR34

lol thats probably half of the cars for the game. what options are the best for these cars or any other u can think of or know? PLZ and thank u

option A is usually the best, and that goes for all cars... just experiment w/ the parts that come along so you know which parts suit your driving 👍

personally i've got an option B FD type-r... but i only chose that option coz it looks good hehehe

bunta's car (gc8v), however, does not have any tuning options; it's n-tuned (n for "normal") - all cars also have this option but why anyone would want to do that is beyond me...

Speaking of shift points...

Speaking of shift points ... 😊 does anyone know good shift points for my s14? It might just help me enough to beat both Tak and Hawk. Speaking of which, how can I beat him? I think I just need to focus, avoid walls and not make stupid mistakes, which is where i went wrong all the other times... :p

ps. CerberaLM: Normal Tuning would be for those who want a 'sleeper' Car - looks stock but is actually fully tuned. It's handy for making people think twice before they judge a car's speed on it's bodykit again.

Also to do with the shift points, is it better to do it just before or on the solid red part of the tacho, or the red lines before that section, or somewhere in between there?

re: s14 shift points

look at the rpm; shift up when the needle hits:
2nd - 5500rpm
3rd - 6000/6200rpm
4th - 6800/7000rpm
5th - depending on your speed: 158/160kph on myogi, 151kph on usui, 141kph on akagi/akina, 130+kph on irohazaka/tsuchisaka, 138+kph on happogahara, 102kph on shomaru

* not so sure about the 5th gears for iro, happo and tsuchisaka :P
** in IDAS4, though, you need to shift up as you hit the red line. and you need to stay in a certain gear to not lose speed (even though you're already over rev) - which is why i still prefer v.3 over IDAS4...

re: normal tuning
yep but the points are still a give-away just how tuned the car is...

like points 99999999

at we car can got tis izzit?...at InitialD 3 who noe how to make points we car maximum...like 99999999 points?

Hello guys, I'm still a newbie in this game.

First, I wanna tell ya' about my story. Well, I've been watching the Initial D anime for about 1 months until Stage 4 ends, and I'm really obsessed with Cars since that time (before watching Initial D, I would never thought anything about Cars). Then, I find this arcade racing V.3 is really interesting, and this evening I began to play Arcade V.3 using Mazda RX-7 Type R [FD3S]. Well, since I played it this evening, I managed to pass Myogi and still struggling ini Usui.

Well, as I'm still a Newbie, I just want to ask a few Question:
1. Could someone tell me how to "Drift" using Mazda RX-7 (in Initial D)? (Step-by-Step please, ha3)
2. Which is the best Cars for a Newbie like me? (that will teach me how to drive n' drift well)

Thx a lot guys! I hope someone Reply this post because No one have posted in this thread since last month. H3!

what option did you choose? i've got one myself, option B.

the FD Type-R is a pretty good car (good power/acceleration) but you need to have some experience in the game because handling can be a bit unpredictable; it's somewhat prone to wheel lock as compared to the Spirit. one wrong move and you'll be in turbo lag for a few seconds which, of course, means a lot in a race.

i could suggest getting an evolution4, a very good all-around car on all courses, dry or wet; just make sure to choose option A, get the white 6-spoke volk mags, bozz speed muffler for startup acceleration or fujitsubo for top speed, and the mitsubishi spoiler (i have the one without the tail light; i don't know if there's any difference in handling with the one with the tail light).

my FD's already full-tuned but i'm still experimenting on the parts so i can't advise which parts are best since the evo4 is my main car. i'd also suggest full-tune the car first before getting any parts, especially spoilers since they cost a lot of points, or accumulate at least 500,000+ points so that it won't be too much if you do decide to change parts.

lastly, read back on the previous pages; there're a lot of tips there that'll help you in your "career" :-)
