Boy x boy - why is it sexy?

It's really difficult to explain why boyXboy sex is, well.........sexy. I only have theories as to why it's sexy. For one, as I've said before, I think it's the artwork. Two, I believe it's more fascinating when two boys are having sex with each other. I don't know why, I just do. Are perhaps it's one of those sexual turn-ons. Who knows, really.
 
Wah, Black Piano, you seem to know a lot of YAOI! I have never seen any shonen-ai or YAOI anime movies. Only read the manga, but it's difficult to get my hands on it. Do you all buy it from the internet, or do you go to some shop? I wanna see a shonen-ai movie! KYA!

boyxboy is.... special. When I first heard about it, it was just so...nice. I loved it! (and love it still) but none of my friends understand the attraction, neither my female friends nor the males. especially the boys all think it's sick... *cries* I wanna know some bi-boys, so I could get some real YAOI action! *nosebleed*
 
Hi. I read wot u guys were talkin bout and I totally agree (big, hairy men, NO). Even though I havn't only been a yaoi/shonen ai fan for very long, I love it! and i'm glad there are some people I can talk to bout it cause my friends, well, don't like talkin bout it and think theres somthin wrong with me for likin it.

In answer to the main question, I dunno why I like it sooo much, i just do. And in answer to isayhello's question, ebay is a good place to buy it from.

I'm sorry. You should move... haha. Maybe they are out there but you just need to look harder. It really annoys me when guys can't show emotions towards there other guy friends. Maybe I'm just used to being around gay/bi guys or ones that are comfortable with their sexuality or intouch with their emotions or whatever but that's seriously dumb when guys are all like uptight and won't hug or stuff. Psychologically speaking I just think it's curiousity. People are naturally sexual. It's just our nature. I think it's all about experimentation and learning. Who thought learning could be so hot and fun. Yep that's right. See now all you have to do is tell your mom your educating yourself and yaoi is perfectly ok.... boy do I wish that were true.

What an interesting thread!
Why do girls like yaoi and shonen-ai so much? I don't have the slighest idea, but what I've noticed is that I like to slash some of my male friends into a yaoi couple VERY much.^^ They think I'm wierd but some of them like to act as if they were a couple just for the sake of making fun of the real gay guys....
I think I'm more into a shonen-ai and just as Isayhello-san I love teacher/student relationship the best ( Raphael/Mikael from Tenshi ni Narumon being my favourite ) but hardcore ones are a nice change from time to time

I think that it is interesting how yaoi fangirl's ideal type of man differs so much from the typical one (I mean a big, sturdy, often hairy type of man) which, let be honest, most of the girls/women prefer (at least in European/American culture) I myself am so into bishonen, yaoi, shonen-ai that I'm trying to look everywhere for slim, delicate, almost feminine type of guys like the ones portrayed in most manga/anime (and is it just me, or most of them happen to be Japanese? )

Anyway, I'm curious to see your opinions!
 
Hello Maze-san:: Raphael and Mikael of Tenshi ni Narumon are completely HOT - and funny thing is that the Tenshi-anime isn't a shonen-ai series at all, but just a normal one, untill Raphael and Mikael all of a sudden start... well... acting really lovable towards eachother!! KYA!

I have also noticed and found it interesting that our (the girls who love yaoi) ideal-man differs from the "normal" ideal. As you say, I totally agree: most women, and all of my female friends, all love men who look like Brad Pitt or worse *shivers* Those guys doesn't interest me one bit, I cannot find them attractive! At first, I though there was something wrong with me *hehe*----but then I discovered the wonderful world of Japan, japanese men (who more often than european and american men tend to be thin and beautiful) and yaoi. But these thin, beautiful, feminine men aren't easy to find - at least not in Sweden. *cries*
Japanese men aren't always beautiful and thin, but it seems there are more japanese men looking like that than there is caucasian men... ? Might just have been looking in the wrong places...
 
There are beautiful feminine, thin, pale, white men. They are hard to find though. OMG... I just thought of one *gets real excited and searches for picture* Ahhh I got him... I just wish all those 'manly' men could acknowledge that not only their "kind" has the right to be women's ideal... Unfortunately, they think that the only kind of man woman can fall in love is a macho, Arnold Schwarzeneger-like man (no offence to his fans!) and any male who acts just slightly effeminate they label as 'homo', 'gay', 'fag' or something worse...and often ostracize...
I don't quite get it... why can't man look pretty, even beautiful? Why can't they act more delicate, calmer...? The thing is those stereotypes work not only among straight guys, but also gay ones (the only tolerated ones are transvestites but that's another case...)
It gets on my nerves when I see another interview about men and women (or something similar)on TV where practically every female claims that man without muscles, one that doesn't have a "instinct of a hunter" isn't really sexually attractive ("man using cosmetics? man wearing make up? colourful,frivolous clothes? Oh My God, that's friggin' gay!") well, as I said I don't have nerves to listen to this...
Let's hope things change for better... someday...

Wow... well said. and I'm completely with you. I really hope things will change. That makes me so angry. We don't "have" to like manly men. We live in an age now where men don't have to kill mammoths and stuff for survival. Were civilized now. We don't need ape men to protect us and feed us. What's wrong with men who care about there appearances? If women can put there best face on why can't men?

I'm glad my b/f understands. He's bi so it makes it easier. He doesn't get weirded out by my taste in men. Then again we fight over who gets what jrocker... I think it's kinda cute sometimes I still think I would be the one to get lucky with Mana... tee-hee!
