Big dilemma- Azumanga Daioh manga options

So anyway the other day i decided to get some of my fav anime's in their manga versions, and one of the first manga series i want to get is the Azumanga Daioh series. So i was checking out amazon for the manga, but then i realized i had two options to decide between;

1. They've brought out the entire azumanga manga series in one great whopping big book.

2. But there's also the original series in the traditional standard 6 volumes series.


Is the one volume book containing the whole series better than the original 6 volume series- have they cut lots of stuff out in the omnibus book, or is it even better than the original 6 volume series, or are they more or less the same as each other?
Ahh! Decisions like this are always so difficult ...!

The manga's in a four volume set, isn't it? At least that is what I have got. I didn't know that they had bought out a collection in one book. It would be cheaper to buy the omibus set, but, as you said, it might be missing some of the original. Depends on how much you wish to spend.

Whoops sorry i meant to say 4 volumes instead of 6. Here's the azumanga omnibus, 686pages of azumanga goodness;

Hmm...Right now i'm more leaning towards the omnibus, but then again, the convenience of the 4 volumes might better better- it would be easier to carry around one small current volume than a great big omnibus book. Hmm...

I would agree that it would probably be cheaper to buy the omnibus rather than the individual volumes. Whichever route you choose, you won't be disappointed as Azumanga Daioh was terrific!

Thanks for your help guys, i think i am going to go with the omnibus, i also think i might get an omnibus as a present for a friend too as he liked the anime a lot as well .
