Now we are getting somewhere!

Thats makes 5 or 6. As far as I know, there was no get together this past summer. (That I knew of.)

Now that we have people interested, it would help to get more specific about when. It would be best for me in July, but I'm pretty flexible.

I would meet up too, but I am leaving Early June 2005.

So if you happen to be in the Nagoya area I will go, but I don't have the funds to go too far (IE: Tokyo, where I think most of the people are...)

I still haven't set the date yet, as it is too early for me. I need to go to Japan in end of this year first for a short trip, and then I can look forward to my LONG summer trip (three weeks) in the months of July, August OR September.
I will be staying at different places (friends and family) in: Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka (and Osaka area, including south of Osaka). And there might be some time for a one-day trip to Kyoto .

I hope the JRef gathering will take place in one of those above-mentioned places...:-) Because I don't like travelling VERY far to Hokkaido or something... :p

Who is in Japan in July?
In August?
In September?

This would help and I am sure mad pierrot would agree! 👍

Japan, Thailand, Australia, Hawaii. But when? Things are radically changing at work, and I'm part of it.

I'll be around for all of July and most of August. Hmm.... perhaps this would make another good poll?

:?

I think Tokyo is the best place to meet, but I can do Kansai, too.

Yes, I also think a poll whould be a good idea in this thread...so we can see who is in Japan WHEN... :-)

Tokyo as the meeting place is more than ok with me.

When I be older, yes (lol). If I have conditions, I don't even have to think about it. It's like, automatic (going to Japan). I also want to go to Hong Kong (I luv it!!!).

Man, for a JRef party, too. I'd like to. I wouldn't say that I'm planning on it, though. More like enthusiastically thinking about it.

This is sort of where I am on the issue too. It's a long way off so things could change, but it doesn't hurt to shoot for it just in case it works out. Could be fun! :-)

I want to plan a US based JRef party. I bet no one would come, though... :(

That would be fun too! Where you were thinking of having it? :?

July: yes, except from the 20th on, which depends if I'm traveling
August: depends if I am traveling, if late August, yes.
September: yes

Tokyo is better, Kansai depends

I will come to Japan next summer-holidays!
I will go to a language course for 4 weeks and then cruising around for 2 weeks.
For this 2 weeks I think it would be nice to meet some people :D

i'm coming, but not this year :p
i'm 17 now, first i'm going to finish my studies (till 21) then save some money, and then im coming ;)

i'm afraid that i'm going to have a fear of going to japan, well after all it is practically the other side of the world for me. i hope by then i've got some friends/aquaintances in japan who i can stay with. couse i think my biggest fear is, going to have to go there alone.

Well, that's what I am afraif a little bit...but I have 4 weeks in a language course, so maybe there are some other students around my age who want to join me...And I started with some pen pals, perhaps it becomes a closer friendship and one of them wants to travel with me...But I think this is just a dream...

Yes, It is exactly that. But unfortunately for most I'd say the someday and somehow quickly become no day and no how. I never questioned people's dreams, but most likely, the members ranging from Otaku to J-Pop fans, won't be serious enough (or perhaps lucky enough) to go to Japan. Just my opinion, not trying to discourage anyone who really does plan to go there or anything.

i disagree.

It's all about cost. Japan is costy. Very costy.. We should all join together for a common good and buy a house there. That would rule. And we would call it the J-Ref house.

Pack it with twinkies because they don't get old.

Soo, Master X you want to go to Japan for her? What would you do if you see her?

Anytime soon of me going to Japan? Unlikely... but I do plan on going there some day to meet my Japanese pen-pal!

During Summer

Im going during the Summer so that I can visit my grandparents and Aunt. 😊

Well, I'm hoping to make it over to Japan in late May 2005. But if I see her first:

socks-1.webp

I'm making her MINE!!!! :D
