Back to football for a minute...I'm beginning to feel that Chicago is having the best off season. They signed Brian Griese, a very capable starting QB, to help an already strong running game and defense. Grossman had better work hard this spring in order to keep his starting job!

The Bears are going to be a serious contender, I think. Griese can play.
I just heard Warren Moon say on Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith, that Dan Marino got a 16 on the Wonderlic Test. I had been skeptical about that thing from the begining, but I think that shows that you can throw away those results. Looks like they mean about as much to succeeding in the NFL as the Heisman Trophy.

Karl Malones Jersey was retired today. He's a great player, but I have very little respect for him. He talked trash on Utah (the State, and the team), as he frolicked away to LA. Then he comes back like nothing happened, just to retire his jersey and bask in his glorious career. I have respect for his Game, but not his attitude.

Man some good games today! Bye Bye Duke! The Texas game was a classic! How in the hell did UCLA come back and win against the Zags? Come on now....they had that game sewed up and gave it away! Then there was the Memphis game too...not a bad day for watching the NCAA's!

Ding dong! The wicked witch (Duke) is dead! I guess the legions of conspiracy nuts who thought the dreaded NCAA/CBS cabal was favoring the Blue Devils to win it all won't have anything to complain about anymore. UCLA surprised me, especially since they couldn't shoot for beans in the first half. Amazing!

I'm sorry, but I'm not convinced in the slightest. Sure, the Bears shouldn't have any trouble winning NFC North, the weakest division in the NFL, but beyond that? I have my doubts, and Brian Griese doesn't solve them.
As for the wonderlic test nonsense, Ryan Leaf scored a 27 on the damn thing! And where is he today? I rest my case!

Keyshawn being in Carolina just means there'll be another WR for Delhomme to ignore as he throws into double coverage to Steve Smith.
The Wonderlic isn't meant to indicate future success in the NFL. It's just meant to measure some aspect of the mental capabilities of prospects that don't have anything to do with football. Like the physical parts of the combine, they're really just factors in the overall decision. Ryan Leaf was an immature, overhyped child. That doesn't mean he didn't have all the cognitive and physical tools to make it.
I'm sure most people would agree that the QB has to know the most about football on any given team. I'm also sure it would surprise most people to know that the highest average score by position is on the offensive line.
Brian Griese is a serviceable QB, certainly better than Kyle Orton. If Grossman were ever healthy, I'd like the Bears to do well in the NFC again this year. They won't sneak up on anybody in 2006.

Yeah, I had Duke to win it all. Then Gonzaga lost, and that just pissed me off.
Batista screwed it up for them. All he had to do was pass the ball. He held on too long and the other team stole it and made the game winning bucket.
I am looking forward to the Villinova v. Boston College game today. That should be awesome.

I actually had Kansas losing to UConn in my finals...Kansas crippled my bracket, but my Final Four of Duke, Kansas, UConn and BC is in severe jeopardy tonight.
The whole Gonzaga team didn't do anything right the last 3 minutes. I looked at espn.com and what happened was:
Gonzaga: 5 missed shots, 3 fouls, 2 turnovers
UCLA: 11 straight points
That's not how you close out games.

As for Keyshawn in Carolina, that surprised me a bit, but he'll make a nice fit for the Panthers, giving Steve Smith badly needed help in the receiving corps. No more double teams, two serious threats to keep d-backs honest. The rest will be up to Cajun Boy!
Regarding Gonzaga, besides the all too obvious fact that they choked late and laid down like dogs, let's give UCLA some credit for not folding their tent after a horrendous start to the game when they had all of one field goal in the first ten minutes of the game. The Bruins stormed back and did what it took to win when the Zags got tight in the throat.

My bracket is done. My Final Four of Duke, Kansas, BC and UConn won't happen, and I take little solace in the fact that the hated UCLA Bruins are there.
LSU has looked GREAT this tourney, and I am officially supporting Tyrus Thomas for MOP. The kid is a game-changer on both ends of the court. I would love love LOVE to see Florida's front court matched up with LSU's, with Thomas and Noah going at it over and over. It's refreshing to see some new teams with legit shots at the title, and George Mason gets my underdog vote, but I don't see them beating Florida. What a fun tournament it's been!

True. I should've explained my thoughts on the Griese move a little better. I think he can be the type of quarterback that's just good enough to get the job done. They have a great defense and a few reliable players on offense. I see them as a Trent Dilfer Era Ravens-style team. I don't think they will take it all the way like the Ravens did, but I see them playing a few good games in the playoffs.

Did you guys see the the Texas-LSU game? That was such a great game.
I think Florida will beat George Mason, and LSU will beat UCLA.
LSU will Beat Florida for the National Championship. But I am rooting for George Mason. The underdog beat one of the expected Champions UConn. So I hope it's George Mason. But it most likely won't happen. Although miracles do happen.
And how about the Tennessee's Women Basketball player dunking it twice in a game. Almost looked as good as me. lol
